Top 10 new electric cars coming in 2026

  • Top 10 new electric cars coming in 2026
  • From the VW ID. Polo to the Jaguar GT
  • EV sales are growing in the UK
  • Particular appeal for business fleets or salary sacrifice schemes

These are the Top 10 new EVs coming in 2026 - and they could slot perfectly into your business’ fleet or salary sacrifice scheme.

The introduction of the government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG) has buoyed sales of battery-powered vehicles.

In December last year they accounted for 32.2% of the UK market, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) - the only time the ZEV mandate target of 28% was exceeded in 2025.

And with more exciting EVs on the horizon, 2026 is shaping up to be another bumper year, according to experts at Select Car Leasing.

Next month, Select will host a special webinar that focuses on company Salary Sacrifice schemes - and why choosing to lease an EV via Sal Sac can have huge benefits for both employers and employees.

Ahead of that event, here Select Car Leasing reveals some of the key EVs to look forward to over the next 12 months:

Jaguar GT

Cost: £120,000. Due: Summer 2026

The Jaguar GT is a four-door, fully electric saloon/coupe that showcases the firm’s all-new brand identity. It’s big, it’s bold, and it’ll go large on brake horsepower.

VW ID. Polo

Cost: Around £22,000 (est). Due: Mid 2026

The Polo name lives on with this fully-electric ID. variant of VW’s long-running hatchback.

It’ll be Volkswagen’s cheapest EV when it arrives.

Smart #2

Cost: £20,000 (est). Due: Late 2026

Smart has gone back to its roots to reinvent the old fortwo as a modern new EV. Expect a range of around 200 miles and a low asking price.

BMW iX3

Cost: £58,755. Due: April 2026

Already available to order, the BMW iX3 will hit roads this April and wears the German manufacturer’s fresh ‘Neue Klasse’ design language. A range close to 500 miles is seriously impressive.

CUPRA Raval

Cost: Around £22,000 (est). Due: Spring 2026

A sibling to the VW ID. Polo, the CUPRA Raval is an electric hot hatchback with aggressive styling, bucket seats, and a chassis honed for the track.

Jeep Recon

Cost: Around £70,000 (est). Due: Late 2026

The Recon is Jeep’s first fully-electric SUV - and it should prove just as capable off-road as the manufacturer’s legendary Wrangler.

Leapmotor B03X

Cost: Around £25,000 (est). Due: Second half of 2026

Chinese manufacturer Leapmotor will take on the Ford Puma Gen-E with this compact electric crossover, which will have a range of around 250 miles.

Honda Super-N

Cost: Around £24,000 (est). Due: Mid 2026

The pint-sized Honda Super-N could be the answer to affordable urban commuting - and even gets a performance ‘BOOST’ mode that temporarily ups the power output.

Range Rover Electric

Cost: Around £170,000 (est). Due: Early 2026

Having been promised for some time, the electric Range Rover is set to arrive this year with a range in excess of 300 miles between charges.

Mazda 6e

Cost: Around £40,000 (est). Due: Early 2026

The practical and efficient Mazda 6e will be offered with a choice of two battery packs, which unlock a range of up to 345 miles between charges.
