In simple terms, leasing is the single most cost-effective and hassle free method of driving a brand-new car, and with Select Car Leasing you can be sure that you are in safe hands.
BMW’s small SUVs have long been popular for UK leasing customers, but with the iX3 BMW brings an all-electric option to the market. Essentially a zero-emission version of the X3, it keeps the mix of premium appeal and family practicality that the X3 offers, as well as the engaging driving experience. But the petrol and diesel engines are gone, replaced with an electric motor and battery that will give you up to 285 miles of range on a single charge.
The iX3 was all-new to the market in 2021. With a premium badge, lots of standard features and some cutting-edge technology, it’s not going to be the most affordable mid-sized SUV to lease. But you can be confident that, thanks to the market-leading links that Select Car Leasing has to the automotive industry, you’ll have access to some of the UK’s most competitive rates and special offers. BMW customers love the X3, but with the world increasingly embracing electric vehicles, they were clamouring for a zero-emission model. The iX3 doesn’t dramatically change a successful formula, which means you still get lots of space for passengers in the front and rear seats, and a good-sized boot too. But the key feature is the powertrain. BMW has added a beefy 286 horsepower electric motor and an 80kWh battery that can give you up to 285 miles of driving before it needs recharging. WIth fast-charging capability, just 10 minutes plugged in at a public station can give you an extra 55 miles of range.
The regular BMW X3 was tested by independent safety organisation Euro NCAP in 2017 and was awarded the maximum five-star score. While the iX3 has a few different components, we’d be pretty confident that it’ll perform as well. All models get lots of standard safety features to avoid accidents and keep you safe if one does occur. Practicality-wise, BMW has managed to avoid the risk of losing space because of bulky batteries, with more boot space in the iX3 than the plug-in hybrid X3, and space for two adults in the back. Three grown-ups will be a bit of a squeeze, although three kids will be fine.
There are just two trim levels to choose from in the iX3. The M Sport model has sporty styling inside and out, heated seats and 19-inch alloy wheels, while the M Sport Pro upgrades things with 20-inch wheels, a Harman/Kardon sound system and a head-up display, which projects driving information directly onto the windscreen. It also gets stylish, stealthy black exterior trimmings, rather than the chrome on the regular M Sport.
