A 60 kWh battery gives the Atto 3 a range of up to 261 miles between charges and power of 207 PS, which is enough to accelerate the SUV from 0-62mph in just 7.3 seconds.

The list of equipment fitted as standard is impressive, including driver assistance and safety software such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, rear cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring. A panoramic glass roof also comes as standard.

And one of the key reasons to lease a BYD Atto 3 is its avant-garde interior, which features a futuristic drive selector, vertical air vents, and a large 12.8 inch touchscreen which can be flipped from the portrait to landscape position at the touch of a button.
