The most affordable BYD to lease is the Dolphin Surf (pictured left), a compact urban supermini with sporty exterior styling and a range of up to 200 miles between charges.
Slightly larger than the Dolphin Surf is the BYD Dolphin, another compact hatchback with understated exterior styling and a larger range than its 'Surf' sibling.
The BYD Atto 3 is a family-sized SUV that first introduced the brand to British motorists and which makes a great alternative to cars like the Kia Niro EV.
As a rival to the Tesla Model 3, the BYD Seal makes a compelling case, enjoying a range in excess of 350 miles between charges as well as rapid acceleration.
Arriving in 2025, the Sealion 7 is an electric SUV with a plush interior and range of up to 312 miles between charges.
Meanwhile the BYD Seal-U is the joker in BYD's pack, being a plug-in hybrid rather than a full EV - but which still boasts a range of up to 78 miles using electricity alone.

Why lease a BYD?
BYD first arrived in the UK back in 2023 with the electric Atto 3 SUV - and the Shenzhen-based firm has since made serious inroads into the British car leasing market.
As well as being one of the largest EV battery manufacturers in the world (it also supplies batteries to Toyota), BYD sells almost as many electric vehicles as Tesla on a global scale.
With a growing number of attractive and electrified vehicles in its line-up, a BYD lease looks ever more appealing.
Another one of BYD’s biggest selling points is its ‘Blade’ battery, developed in-house and shaped long and flat (like a sword) and which is said to be stronger, longer lasting, and cheaper to manufacture than other units.
