Give a high five to the youthful new SEAT Ibiza and Arona - seen here in facelifted form ahead of order books opening in December.
The Ibiza and Arona are Spanish siblings that share the same platform and which have long appealed because of their down-with-the-kids looks.

The Ibiza, for example, makes a smart choice for both young and new drivers while the Arona is a decent alternative to the VW T-Cross.
Now both the Ibiza and Arona have been treated to a bit of a makeover (though you’d be forgiven for blinking and missing it).
Here are the main changes:

What’s different about the SEAT Ibiza and Arona 2026?
The exterior of the SEAT Ibiza and Arona is the main thing that’s new, particularly the front grille. There’s a hexagonal design combined with a diamond-shaped mesh which ‘enhances the sporty character and emphasizes the wider proportions’, says SEAT.

There are new bumpers front and rear (said to be sportier) along with slimmer full LED headlights
There’s a new batch of alloy wheels to choose from.
And the Ibiza and Arona have also been handed ‘more vibrant and youthful colours’, which include ‘Liminal Red’, ‘Oniric Grey’, and ‘Hypnotic Yellow’.

What are the interior features of the SEAT Ibiza and Arona?
The 2026 facelift for the SEAT Ibiza and Arona introduces an uprated cabin with plusher materials and better tech - and which the Spanish manufacturer hopes will offer better value for money all round.
There are embossed textiles, a darker headliner, and the FR First Edition trim now gets bucket seats as standard, ‘offering the perfect balance between everyday usability and dynamic driving feel’.

On the tech side, both models come with enhanced digital features, including the new optional SEAT Sound system with six speakers, a subwoofer, and a 300W amplifier for a high-fidelity audio experience.
Wireless charging has also been upgraded with refrigerated technology.

What engines are available with the SEAT Ibiza and Arona 2026?
It’s as you were when it comes to the Ibiza and Arona’s powertrains.
The Ibiza is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine with power of either 95 PS or 115 PS.

The Arona gets the same engines as the Ibiza but also adds a larger 1.5-litre petrol unit that offers 150 PS and which is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
Sadly you can’t get that aforementioned 150 PS mill with the Ibiza.
