Honda gives Civic Hybrid a sleek new look

  • Honda Civic e:HEV Hybrid gets updated styling for 2025
  • Three trims: Elegance, Sport, and Advance
  • Mechanically unchanged
  • On sale now, priced from £33,795

Honda has given its fuel-efficient Civic Hybrid a styling makeover for 2025.

While it’s mechanically unchanged, the new model aims to turn more heads and offer a more upmarket feel.

With a host of rivals, including the Toyota Corolla, Peugeot 308, Ford Focus (for the time being, at least), Vauxhall Astra, Skoda Octavia and more, Honda will hope that the tweaks and tucks to the Civic will keep the appeal of a car that was first launched in 2022.

What’s new on the revised Honda Civic Hybrid?

The current-generation Civic Hybrid has been well received for its impressive blend of comfort, performance, and efficiency. But now, three years after launch, Honda has refreshed this popular hatchback with updated looks and a more premium cabin.

The changes are largely cosmetic. There’s a sharper new front end, gloss black detailing, redesigned alloy wheels, and a revised colour palette. Inside, the cabin gets improved materials, new tech features, and a more upmarket ambience. However, the car’s tried-and-tested hybrid system remains the same.

How much does the 2025 Civic Hybrid cost?

The facelifted Civic e:HEV (as Honda likes to call it) is available to order now, with prices starting from £33,795. The line-up is unchanged, with three well-equipped trims: Elegance, Sport and Advance.

Elegance is the entry point, offering 17-inch alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control, heated front seats, keyless entry, and a wireless phone charger. The Sport trim adds 18-inch black alloys, synthetic leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and a larger 10.2-inch digital driver display in place of the standard 7.0-inch version.

Go for the top-spec Advance, and you’ll benefit from a panoramic glass roof, two-tone alloy wheels, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, leather upholstery, electric front seat adjustment, and enhanced ambient lighting.

What’s changed on the outside?

The 2025 Civic gets a few subtle styling updates to sharpen its look. All models now feature a gloss black grille and tweaked headlight designs, while Sport and Advance trims gain new alloy wheel designs finished in black on the Sport grade and two-tone on the Advance. The front fog lights have been removed – Honda says that improved LED headlights have made them redundant.

There’s also a new exterior colour – Seabed Blue – replacing the previous Premium Crystal Blue. Other available shades include Platinum White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Sonic Grey Pearl and Premium Crystal Red Metallic. Optional accent colours include Berlina Black, Nordic Silver and Patina Bronze.

What’s new on the inside?

The interior has been given a subtle overhaul to lift the Civic’s cabin and make it feel more premium. There’s a new black headliner and pillar trim, matt chrome detailing on the air vents, and more equipment across the board. A wireless charger is now standard on all trims, and higher-spec models benefit from ambient cabin lighting and footwell illumination.

The top-tier Advance version adds useful extras such as a sunglasses holder and rear seatback pockets for extra practicality.

What engine does the Civic Hybrid use?

There are no changes to the Civic’s full-hybrid powertrain, with Honda retaining its naturally aspirated 2.0-litre petrol engine and dual-motor hybrid system, which delivers a total output of 182PS and 315Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via Honda’s e-CVT automatic transmission.

That oomph is enough for a 0–62mph time of 7.8 seconds, while official fuel economy stands at up to 60.1mpg.

When is the new Civic Hybrid available?

The 2025 Honda Civic e:HEV is available to order right now.
