- Omoda 5 named ‘Best Value New Car in 2025’
- Accolade from Autotrader Drivers’ Choice Awards
- Chosen by drivers, not judges
- Lease the Omoda 5 with Select for a lot less than you might expect

The ‘Best Value New Car in 2025’ is… a vehicle you might not actually be familiar with.
The award has gone to the Omoda 5, a good-looking SUV from a forward-thinking Chinese manufacturer that hit the leasing market last year.
Omoda falls under the umbrella of parent company Chery, one of China’s biggest vehicle manufacturers and which exports cars across the globe.

And the 5 - available as the petrol-powered Omoda 5 or fully-electric Omoda E5 - has been impressing motorists who’ve been behind the wheel.
Following an Autotrader survey of car owners who have bought, driven and generally lived with their vehicles, the petrol-engined Omoda 5 has been handed the silverware for Best Value New Car in 2025.
Prices begin at just £25,915 for the petrol model, rising to £33,055 for the electric E5.

So, what’s so appealing about an Omoda 5 lease?
A company spokesperson tells us: “With bold, coupé-inspired looks and a premium interior featuring twin 10.25-inch displays, wireless smartphone integration, and a full suite of driver assistance systems as standard, it rivals far pricier SUVs.”
It’s also a ‘compelling alternative to mainstream rivals’ like the Nissan Qashqai and Kia Sportage, says Omoda.
