- Skoda Enyaq is ‘Best Car for Dog Owners’
- Accolade from Autotrader Drivers’ Choice Awards
- Practical interior and ‘stress-relieving’ driving experience
- Skoda is also the official automotive partner of Crufts
- Lease the Skoda Enyaq with Select!

The Skoda Enyaq has been named the ‘Best Car for Dog Owners’, with its spacious interior and smooth electric drive sure to keep tails wagging.
Skoda has long been a manufacturer that attracts dog lovers.
It’s the official car partner of Crufts, the world’s largest dog show, and it has also commissioned exclusive research aimed at improving the comfort of our canine companions.

Now the Enyaq - available to lease with Select as either the Enyaq SUV or Enyaq Coupe, both fully electric - has secured a top industry gong for its fur-baby friendliness.
The silverware was secured at Autotrader’s annual Drivers’ Choice Awards.
Owners praised the Enyaq’s ‘well thought-out interior design, large boot, and fastidious attention to detail’, says Skoda.

The Enyaq is easy for pooches to get in and out of, it’s comfortable on a long drive, and the quiet electric powertrain helps dogs to settle into the trip.
A Skoda spokesperson added: “Having already impressed countless judging panels with its human-focused features, the Enyaq has now shown that it is just as well suited to four-legged passengers and their owners. Unlike other awards decided by editorial panels, the Autotrader Drivers Choice Awards are voted for by real car owners, making them consumer-approved.”
Back in March, Skoda commissioned a study, led by veterinary expert Dr Scott Miller, which found that dogs are noticeably calmer when travelling in electric vehicles (EVs) compared to petrol or diesel models.

During the research, a dog’s heart rate was monitored while being driven at speeds of up to 70 mph in three Skoda cars with different powertrains. In the electric model, the dog’s heart rate rose only modestly from a resting 80 to 100 BPM, while it spiked to 120 BPM in the petrol car and 125 BPM in the diesel – suggesting increased stress levels.
A separate study by the Czech manufacturer also suggested that more than half (53%) of dog owners hit the road with their pet at least once a week - with man or woman’s best friend ultimately influencing our car leasing or buying choices.
