- Bugatti Brouillard unveiled
- One-off creation from firm’s bespoke ‘Solitaire’ division
- Named after Bugatti founder Ettore Bugatti’s favourite horse
- Power of 1,600 hp via an 8.0-litre W16 engine

The stable door is open and this racehorse-inspired new Bugatti Brouillard has well and truly bolted - aided by a whopping 1,600 hp!
Bugatti’s founding father Ettore Bugatti loved his nags, owning and breeding them at this estate in Molsheim, north-eastern France, until his death in 1947.

Ettore wanted his car designs to celebrate the athletic prowess of his beloved animals, even building luxury horse-drawn carriages and designing custom door latches that the horses could open themselves!
And this - the Bugatti Brouillard - is named after Ettore’s favourite thoroughbred steed.

It’s the product of Bugattie’s bespoke ‘Programme Solitaire’ coachbuilding division and therefore a one-off.
As such, it’s estimated to be worth north of £11m and could be the most expensive Bugatti ever conceived - costing considerably more than the £2.5m Bugatti Chiron.

Built on Bugatti’s most advanced W16 platform, the Brouillard houses an 8.0-litre, 1,600 hp quad-turbocharged engine.
Aerodynamic refinements, including a fixed ducktail wing and an innovative rear diffuser, are seamlessly integrated into the sweeping bodywork, ensuring performance matches its artistic ambition.

Inside, the cabin showcases an unprecedented level of personalisation.
Paris-sourced tartan fabrics meet green-tinted carbon fibre, while a glass roof creates a cathedral-like sense of space.

Subtle horse motifs are embroidered into the seats and panels, and the machined-aluminium gear shifter contains a miniature sculpture of the namesake horse.

Frank Heyl, Bugatti Design Director, says: “The bond between Ettore and Brouillard was deeply special. He saw in Brouillard a mirror of his own creations; the curves of the horse's body, the muscular flanks, the perfect proportions – these were all elements he tried to capture in the steel and aluminium of his cars. So here, the aesthetics of this car abstain from sharp lines in favor of more reflection-based surfaces that mimic a kind of athletic muscle, like a trained horse. It's heavily focused on sculptural surfaces and organic shapes, as the vision of a tendon underneath the skin. Enormous power and complexity, hidden by a veil of dignified simplicity."

There’s no word yet on performance figures but you can expect the Bugatti Brouillard to be capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph in just 2.4 seconds if it can match the capabilities of the Bugatti Chiron.
