- Garagisti & Co launch the GP1
- British hypercar inspired by icons of the ‘80s, ‘90s, and early 2000s
- Resemblance to Lancia Stratos Zero and Lamborghini Countach
- ‘Purist’ vehicle that shuns big screens and hybrid tech
- Costs a cool £2.45 million

This is the retro-inspired new GP1 - a shamelessly old skool British hypercar that sticks two fingers up to modern tech.
It has been unveiled by Garagisti & Co, a new British firm formed by a collective of designers, engineers, and enthusiasts from around the world.

Angel Guerra is one of them, a designer that was formerly with Bugatti and Rimac, and who has penned the GP1.
Garagisti & Co say its creation is inspired by the icons of the ‘80s, ‘90s, and early 2000s, and you’ll see remnants of the Lamborghini Countach and Lancia Stratos Zero in its styling.

And everything about the GP1 has been built to please purists - from the naturally-aspirated 6.6-litre V12 engine to the 6-speed manual gearbox.
There’s no turbo, no hybrid wizardry and you’ll find no big screen in the cockpit.

But what you’re left with is a car that ‘exists for no other reason than to make the act of driving an unfiltered joy’, the company tells us.
The GP1 isn’t cheap - the price starts at a whopping £2.45 million quid as part of a ’no-expense-spared philosophy’.

It’s also not particularly powerful in the grand scheme of things, with its engine delivering 800 hp at 9,000 rpm and 700 Nm of torque. That massive £2.45m asking price for the GP1 is close to Bugatti Chiron territory, too, with the Chiron having almost double the power at 1,500 hp.
Yet Garagisti & Co say its GP1 is still ‘brutally fast’, largely thanks to its light 1,000 kg dry weight. You’ll have to guess at its 0-62 mph acceleration time, though, as Garagisti & Co aren’t telling us right now.

Power is sent to the rear wheels and the back of the car also gets huge rear diffusers that improve downforce.
The cockpit is best described as uncluttered, with Angel Guerra saying: “No oversized screens. No unnecessary gimmicks. Just you, the machine, and the road ahead.”

The Garagisti & Co. GP1 will be limited to just 25 road cars, each finished to the customer’s bespoke wishes.
