It’s the car that’ll do it all - and now the BMW M3 CS Touring is officially the fastest estate to ever lap the Nürburgring-Nordschleife race circuit.
The BMW M3 CS Touring was launched earlier this year as the ultimate family wagon - and you can lease one right now with Select Car Leasing.
The all-wheel drive CS variant takes the regular M3 Touring and beefs-up the 3.0-litre six cylinder engine to produce 550 hp (20 hp more than the standard M3).
Upgraded twin turbochargers also allow the M3 CS Touring to rocket from 0-62 mph in just 3.5 seconds and then on to a top speed of 186 mph.
The extreme CS model also features bespoke chassis tuning, weight-shedding by way of lashings of carbon fibre, and a unique exhaust system.
And now BMW says the CS Touring has proved its mettle by setting a new lap record for an estate at the Nürburgring, doing it in a time of 7:29.5 minutes.
Franciscus van Meel, CEO of BMW M GmbH, said: “From the very beginning, it was clear that the BMW M3 CS Touring would set new standards in dynamics. With a time under 7:30 minutes, this model impressively demonstrates that this vehicle concept perfectly combines racing DNA with everyday usability."
Perhaps unsurprisingly, CS Touring stole the Nurburgring record from another BMW estate - the regular M3 Touring, which set a time of 7:35.060 mins in 2022.
