- UK pricing still to be confirmed
- Skoda Epiq will arrive first half of 2026

Skoda has previewed its incoming Epiq - an affordable new electric SUV that’s being billed as a ‘milestone model’ for the Czech firm.
We’ve known about the Epiq for a while now, with the EV having first been teased as a concept back in 2024.
We’ve now been treated to pics of the Epiq in all of its road-going glory, cleverly disguised in bubblegum camouflage ahead of a full arrival in the first half of 2026.
The Epiq is being billed as a ‘milestone model in the evolution of Skoda's design’, according to the manufacturer’s Chief Designer Oliver Stefani.
Here’s everything you need to know.

What is the Skoda Epiq, and how big is it compared with other models?
The Skoda Epiq is a fully-electric, sub-compact SUV that’s set to join the urban crossover leasing segment while making ‘access to the world of electric mobility more affordable and appealing to an even broader customer base’, Skoda tells us.
It measures 4,171mm long, 1,798mm wide and 1,581mm tall - which makes it smaller than the award-winning Skoda Elroq.
In terms of similarly-sized rivals, you’re looking at the likes of the Renault 4 E-Tech, Ford Puma Gen-E and the Citroen e-C3 Aircross.

The comparison Skoda uses is with its own traditionally-fuelled Kamiq. The Epiq is ever-so-slightly smaller than the Kamiq but obviously uses battery power as opposed to a petrol engine.
While precise pricing details for the Epiq haven’t been revealed just yet, Skoda says the cost will be ‘comparable to that of the combustion-engine Kamiq’. The Kamiq begins at around £25,000 in the UK.
That’s a similar amount of dosh to the Citroen e-C3 Aircross but much cheaper than the Ford Puma Gen-E or Renault 4 E-Tech.
So, if the Epiq really is as affordable as Skoda is hinting it will be, it could prove extremely popular.
You’ll also want to keep the Kia EV2 and BYD Atto 2 on your leasing wishlist.

What range does the Skoda Epiq get?
Three versions of the Skoda Epiq will launch, underpinned by two different batteries, so the range figures vary according to which one you choose to lease.
Here’s a quick run-down:

Epiq 35
Battery: 38.5 kWh | Power: 116 PS | 0-62mph: 11 seconds | Range: 196 miles | Max DC charging: 50 kW | DC charging time: TBC | AC charging: 11 kW | Top speed: 150mph.
Epiq 40
Battery: 38.5 kWh | Power: 135 PS | 0-62mph: 9.8 seconds | Range: 196 miles | Max DC charging: 90 kW | DC charging time: 20-80% in 28 mins | AC charging: 11 kW | Top speed: 150mph.
Epiq 55
Battery: 55 kWh | Power: 211 PS | 0-62mph: 7.4 seconds | Range: 267 miles | Max DC charging: 133 kW| DC charging time: 20-80% in 23 mins | AC charging: 11 kW | Top speed: 160mph.

As you can see, it’s the range-topping Epiq 55 with the bigger 55 kWh battery that gets the best range between charges, while it’s also much quicker off the mark than the lesser-powered variants.
The Epiq 55 also gets the fastest charging capabilities, with 133 kW DC being more than double that of the 50 kW Epiq 35.
That 133 kW DC recharge speed is also quicker than you get with the 100 kW DC Ford Puma Gen-E or Renault 4 E-Tech, so it’s another big tick in the Epiq’s box.

How practical is the Skoda Epiq?
All models come with a generous 475 litres of luggage space, which expands to 1,344 litres with the rear seats folded flat.
That, says Skoda, gives the Epiq ‘one of the largest boots in its class’ while you also get 75 litres more stowage than you’d get with the petrol Kamiq.

What are the design features of the Skoda Epiq?
The Epiq gets what Skoda calls a ‘Modern Solid’ design language, complete with T-shaped headlights.
It’s a minimalist approach with O-shaped air intakes in the front bumper and a ‘Volcano line’ front end that boasts discreetly concealed air curtains to improve the aerodynamics.
There’s an unpainted section at the rear that Skoda says will help protect against scuffs and scrapes - perfect for city dwellers who run the urban rat race.
Inside the cabin you can expect a horizontal dash, ambient lighting, a 5.3-inch driver’s display and 13-inch infotainment screen (which comes as standard).
There are three interior designs to choose from (Studio, Loft and Suite), with a liberal use of recycled materials.

What’s the equivalent Volkswagen model to the Skoda Epiq?
As you’re probably aware, Skoda is part of the VW Group.
And the Skoda Epiq will be a sibling car to the also-incoming VW ID. Cross, which is itself a more SUV-ified variant of the soon-to-arrive VW ID. Polo.
VW has already said its ID. Cross will get power of up to 211 PS and a range of up to 260 miles between charges, which puts it in almost identical territory to the Skoda Epiq.
