Calling all Reading FC fans - a charity close to our hearts is fundraising at the Select Car Leasing Stadium this weekend, and we urge you to donate if you can
The Royal Berks Charity is the official charity of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
Last year, we told you how one of Select’s incredible members of staff - Dee Edwards, a Senior Appointed Representative Account Manager - raised more than £10,000 for the Royal Berkshire Hospital as a poignant way to say thank you for the breast cancer care she received.

Now staff from the Royal Berks Charity will be fundraising ahead of Reading FC’s home game against Wycombe Wanderers, which kicks off at 12:30pm on Saturday 14th Feb.
They’ll be at the stadium from 10:30am, with all proceeds helping to support the charity in its crucial endeavours.

What is the Royal Berks Charity, and why should I donate?
The aim of the Royal Berks Charity is simple - to make hospital life better for everyone.
The charity exists to go beyond core NHS funding, supporting projects that enhance patient care, staff wellbeing, and hospital environments.
Funds raised support:
- Life-saving and specialist medical equipment
- Patient comfort and experience improvements
- Innovation, research, and pilot projects
- Staff wellbeing initiatives that help care teams deliver the best possible care
Every year, charitable funding benefits thousands of patients and families across the Royal Berkshire Hospital and community services.
