A lucky prize winner is driving a brand-new MINI Cooper Electric - thanks to a lease giveaway from Select Car Leasing.
Last year, Select offered the chance to win a free six-month lease of a range-topping MINI in one of its most exciting offerings yet.
The competition was open to anyone who attended Select Live - an electric vehicle expo aimed at business owners and fleet professionals and which took place at Reading F.C’s Select Car Leasing stadium.

Now the recipient of the prize can be revealed as Jake Rackham, Group Managing Director at Buckinghamshire-based Evolution (Electronic Security Systems).
The MINI itself is a top-spec model in sporty John Cooper Works trim.
A spokesperson for Evolution (Electronic Security Systems) said various staff members had been enjoying the pacey little hatchback as a ‘taster’ of what a fully-electric fleet might ultimately look like.
They said: “As a business, we have been working in the background to introduce EVs to our fleet. Unsure if this would make sense for the company as a whole, we decided that the MINI would give us a great opportunity to trial how an EV would work on a daily basis for certain roles.
“Everybody has commented on what a fantastic looking car the MINI is, with the exterior looks continuing inside the cabin, which has a feature-rich interior.
“The driving range of the MINI is perhaps shorter than some of other larger electric hatchbacks on the market but it still suits those living closer to our HQ and is also manageable for those situated slightly further away.
“Regardless of any range limitations, this has been a good taster to enable us to see what we need from an electric vehicle and what does and doesn’t work.
“We are grateful to Select Car Leasing for the opportunity.”

The Select Live event where the MINI was offered as a prize featured hands-on vehicle displays, expert-led talks, and live demonstrations.
There were dozens of vehicles available to peruse while the unmistakable Tesla Cybertruck also made a guest appearance.
Sarah Worthington, Head of Corporate at Select Fleet Solutions, met MINI recipient Jake at Select’s HQ in Reading, Berks, to hand over the keys.
She said: “More and more business fleets are transitioning to electric vehicles and we’re delighted to aid Evolution Security in its decision-making process with the free MINI lease.
“From our point of view, companies can save thousands of pounds on their fleet costs when they opt for an EV instead of a traditionally-fuelled vehicle, particularly when it comes to tax and whole life costs.
“The fact that EVs like the MINI John Cooper Works Electric are so much fun to drive is just an added bonus!”

Details of this year’s Select Live 2026 event are due to be announced shortly - but it's earmarked to take place at the end of June.
