- 4-Door Coupe ‘engineered to excite’
- Actor Brad Pitt new face of the launch
- Fully electric GT
- Based on Concept AMG GT XX

Say hello to the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe - an EV that’s set to ‘redefine performance’ when it launches in 2026.
The existing, 2-door, petrol-powered Mercedes-AMG GT is already a formidable bit of kit.
It comes with power of up to 805hp, up to 1,420 Nm of torque, and can accelerate from 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 199 mph.
This new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe doesn’t just add extra passenger openings for added practicality, it also jettisons the petrol engine in favour of something greener and meaner.

How powerful is the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe?
While we don’t yet know precise performance details, the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe will sit on the firm’s AMG Electric Architecture (AMG.EA) platform.
It’s a platform that’s already been showcased with the Concept AMG GT XX, where it develops a whopping 1,360 hp via a 114 kWh battery and three ‘axial-flux’ electric motors - two at the rear, one at the front.

The Concept AMG GT XX has been busy obliterating records, including an EV distance feat where it travelled 3,404 miles in just 24 hours - aided by rapid mega-rapid 850 kW DC recharging skills.

Is Brad Pitt the face of the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe?
Perhaps unsurprisingly for such a headline-grabbing vehicle, Mercedes-AMG has roped-in Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt to help plug the GT’s launch.
Speaking at a glitzy bash in Las Vegas, F1: The Movie star Pitt said: “I've always been a fan of performance - both on screen and behind the wheel. That same dedication to performance and thrill is what defines Mercedes‑AMG and I am proud to be part of this next chapter."

George Russell, Mercedes‑AMG Petronas F1 Team driver, has been hooning about in both the Concept AMG GT XX and the production prototype of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, and he added: “AMG has created something truly special here. I had an incredible day in Vegas with the Mercedes‑AMG GT 4‑Door Coupe prototype. The car feels fantastic, and I'm really impressed with the performance that AMG is bringing to the road. I think fans have something very special to look forward to."

Michael Schiebe, CEO of Mercedes‑AMG, added: “With this new Mercedes‑AMG GT 4‑Door Coupe, we’re redefining performance and creating a truly exciting, unforgettable experience."
When it does hit forecourts, the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe will rival competitors like the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, Audi RS e-tron GT, and the Lotus Emeya R.
