The Audi RS e-tron GT line-up - which sits above the regular Audi e-tron GT - was heavily revised in 2024 which was when the GT Performance variant also entered the fray.
The latest RS e-tron GT features a lower stance, a motorsports-inspired front end, sharpened suspension and quicker electric charging capabilities compared with previous iterations.
All-wheel drive, all-wheel steering and active air suspension are par for the course, as is rapid 320 kW DC charging which can replenish the energy in the battery from 10-80% in as little as 18 minutes.
The Audi RS e-tron GT enjoys a maximum power output of 857 PS while being capable of sprinting from 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds.
The RS e-tron GT Performance, meanwhile, is described as the ‘ultimate Audi’ and gets a matte, darkened carbon roof in combination with optional carbon camouflage elements - as well as colossal amounts of power. Despite all of that oomph, the GT Performance is still able to travel up to 365 miles before you need to stop and plug it in once more.
The cabin of both cars has been revamped to include redesigned seats, a flattened steering wheel, new entry sills, fresh digital content and luxurious Dinamica upholstery.
There’s also a ‘comfort entry’ feature which raises the ride height so you don’t have to strain your back while getting into it.
The Porsche Taycan Turbo and Turbo S is the Audi RS e-tron GT’s biggest leasing rival while you might also consider the BMW i7 M70 xDrive.

The RS e-tron is a fully-electric grand tourer capable of travelling up to 298 miles between charges and which also comes equipped with a practical 350 litre boot and enough space to comfortably accommodate five adults.
And yet, as the sportier, range-topping incarnation of the regular Audi e-tron GT, it’s also a ballistic missile that will accelerate from 0-62mph in just 3.3 seconds, making it a close rival to the Porsche Taycan or the Tesla Model S.
A zero-emissions rival to Audi’s own RS6 and RS7 cars, at the heart of the e-tron is a 93.4 kWh battery capable of producing power of 598 PS.
There’s also a ‘boost mode ’accessible via launch control which increases power, for a short period, to an incredible 646 PS.
