- Fiat 126B wins Hot Wheels Legends Tour
- Will now be immortalised as die-cast model
- Owned by Paweł Czarnecki
- Result of more than 3,000 hours’ work
- Panel of judges included TV’s Jay Leno

This custom-built Fiat will be turned into a die-cast toy model after triumphing at the annual Hot Wheels Legends Tour.
The comp sees cars from across the globe competing to be immortalised as a miniature replica by toy giant Mattel.
And this year’s winner is a rally-inspired Fiat 126B from the 1980s created by owner Paweł Czarnecki following more than 3,000 hours of painstaking work.

The car itself boasts a dramatically widened stance, a flip-forward front section (for quicker repairs), and functional aero features - including a huge rear wing.
The dinky Fiat is also packing some decent power, with a 1.4-litre engine borrowed from a Fiat Uno under the bonnet and offering 200hp.
That’s paired with a Nissan 200SX GT28 turbocharger and a Fiat Punto GT gearbox, along with coilover suspension, 18.5-inch alloys, and a roll cage.

Ted Wu, global head of vehicles and building sets at Mattel, said: “Car enthusiasts in Poland have shown incredible support for the Tour over the years and Paweł Czarnecki’s custom Fiat exemplifies the talent and imagination that fans from Poland - and around the world - bring to the Hot Wheels Legends Tour.”
A Chevy S10 owned by Kansas-based Clint DeVine won the US heat and finished as a runner-up, Let's hope there are no speed bumps in Kansas...

Meanwhile the Latin American round was won by a VW Beetle pick-up truck built by Jesus Daniel Payan - and which sits on massive 37-inch tyres.

The panel of judges included TV host and car enthusiast Jay Leno, 75, as well as actor Michael Cimino, 26, who starred in recent horror flick Until Dawn.
