- Audi Concept C makes UK debut
- Showcased at event in London
- Electric roadster is ‘unmistakably Audi’
- First Audi roadster with folding hardtop
- Physical controls in the cabin
- It’s an ‘unambiguous preview’ of future Audi models

Here’s another look at the jaw-dropping Audi Concept C, after the electric roadster made its UK debut at a bash in London.
The Audi Concept C was first revealed back in September as the spiritual successor to the discontinued Audi TT.
It’s not just the first Audi two-seater with a folding hardtop, it also represents an ‘unambiguous preview’ of the brand’s future models, the firm tells us.
Here’s everything we know so far.

What is the Audi Concept C?
The Concept C is a two-seat, fully-electric sports car that sees Audi opting for a design philosophy of ‘radical simplicity’.
The looks are a mash-up of Audis from the past, including the Auto Union Type C racing car from the 1930s, the Audi Quattro from the 1980s, and the recent Audi R8 supercar.
The slab-like front grille also takes its cue from the Audi A6 from the mid-Noughties.
The Concept C features a retractable folding hardtop - which is a first for an Audi roadster.
The German manufacturer says the roof ‘allows the car to retain its sculptured shape when in place’ but unlocks ‘the possibility of open top driving at the touch of a button’.

What’s unique about the design of the Audi Concept C?
If you’re a driver who prefers physical buttons to menus on a touchscreen, you’re in luck, because the Audi Concept C champions the return of actual knobs and switches.
The tactile toggles in the cabin are manufactured from anodized aluminium while the round steering wheel boasts haptic elements.
Like the exterior, the interior’s titanium-inspired colour finish ‘portrays a sense of harmony and technical precision’, says Audi.
There's not much in the way of a rear windscreen so, like the Polestar 4, you'll be relying on cameras to 'see' out the back.

Will the Audi Concept C be built?
Yep, the Audi Concept C is a preview of a car that’ll actually make it to full production and it could hit roads as soon as 2027.
The Concept C is described as a ‘concrete preview of a production model’, rather than just being a flashy design exercise, and it’s set to be built at Audi’s Böllinger Höfe plant in Germany - where the electric Audi e-tron GT also rolls off the production line.

Audi UK director José Miguel Aparicio says: “Over many decades Audi has set the mould for groundbreaking design, particularly with the TT coupe, and the Concept C is the brand’s next step on our mission to become the leader in the premium space.”
