Incoming Skoda Peaq revealed in full

  • Skoda Peaq - the full reveal
  • Only seen in disguised form up until now
  • Firm’s new electric flagship with 7-seats
  • Biggest Skoda ever built
  • 390-mile range
  • Will compete with Peugeot E-5008 and Kia EV9
  • Priced from £51,980 OTR

The wraps are off - and here’s your first proper look at the big new electric Skoda Peaq.

Up until now, we’ve only seen the Peaq with a disguised exterior.

In fact, we recently took the Peaq for a road trip around Italy’s Lake Como and still didn’t get to see what it would look like in full production form.

That big reveal has now been delivered - and we also now know the 7-seat Peaq will cost from £51,980 - which is pricier than the Peugeot E-5008, cheaper than the three-row Tesla Model Y, and significantly undercuts the Kia EV9

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of order books opening in September 2026.

Is the Peaq the biggest car Skoda has ever built?

Yep, the Peaq is the largest and most spacious model in Skoda’s history.

It’s longer (by about 11cm) than the traditionally-fuelled Skoda Kodiaq (which can also be leased as a 7-seater) and it’s taller than its petrol sibling, too.

Crucially, a roomier third row for the Peaq means you get rear-most seats that are more usable for adults on shorter journeys.

What does the Skoda Peaq look like?

Now that the mask is off, you can see how the Peaq slots perfectly in the Skoda line-up and wears the ‘Modern Solid’ design language that’s familiar from cars like the Elroq and Enyaq

It’s a bold yet somehow understated look.

There are chunky wheel arches, a tapered roofline and flush door handles, while the rear is giving us subtle Range Rover vibes.

Is the Skoda Peaq a 7-seater only?

For now, in the UK the Peaq is offered exclusively with 7 seats. A 5-seater will follow in due course.

But - you can always opt to fold the third row seats flat and use it like a 5-seater. And when you do that, you get 890 litres of luggage space (massive for the class) while a 37-litre front trunk lets you stash your charging cables.

With all 7 seats in place, boot space shrinks to a still-decent 299 litres.

What’s the range on the new Skoda Peaq?

The new, all-electric Peaq is available with two powertrain variants - the rear-wheel drive 90 and the all-wheel drive 90x.

Both are underpinned by a 86 kWh battery while you get power of either 286 PS or 299 PS.

The 90x model is sprightly, accelerating from 0-62mph in 6.8 seconds, while the RWD takes only marginally longer at 7.1 seconds.

Go for the Skoda 90 and you get a range of up to 390 miles, while the Skoda 90x will take you around 372 miles between trips to the plug.

How fast can the Skoda Peaq recharge?

Rapid charging at 199 kW DC can give you a 10-80% replenish in around 28 minutes.

It’s not the quickest in the class (the Kia EV9 and Tesla Model Y are faster to charge) but it should prove more than enough for most.

The Peaq also supports Vehicle-to-Load. (*We’re writing this in the midst of a UK heatwave and maybe you can use V2L to plug-in a gigantic portable air conditioning unit when you go camping!)

What trims are available with the Skoda Peaq?

The trim structure begins at SE L, where you get a 13.6-inch infotainment display, virtual cockpit, wireless phone charging, 19-inch alloys, LED headlights, an electric tailgate with virtual pedal, heated front seats and predictive adaptive cruise control.

Move up to the Edition rung and you add extra like leather/artificial leather upholstery, Matrix LED headlight and remote parking tech.

Range-topping SportLine models boast larger 20-inch alloys, unique exterior styling, sports seats, heated steering wheel, and the Dynamic Chassis Control system with adaptive suspension and various drive modes.

We've driven the Skoda Peaq - what's it like?

Indeed. We were lucky enough to pilot the Peaq through some stunning Italian scenery a few weeks back.

Our man Matt MacConnell was behind the wheel and said: "This could easily be one of the best family EVs I’ve driven to date. Of course, being a prototype, a thorough test on British roads will reveal more, but as it stands, this is Peaq Skoda.!

High praise indeed from our Scottish scribe.

A 7-seat MPV vs 7-seat SUV?

Why lease a seven-seat SUV when you could lease a seven-seat MPV instead?

That might be the question you’re pondering here, with both types of vehicle available to lease with Select.

With family-sized electric MPVs like the VW ID. Buzz (above) and Kia PV5 Passenger you get the joy of sliding side doors for added practicality.

It’s worth exploring - especially if you’ve got an active leisure life.
