Short wheelbase models use a 79 kWh battery while variants with a long wheelbase utilise a larger 86 kWh unit and you can expect an electric range in excess of 290 miles. Launched in 2024, the VW ID. Buzz GTX also offers hot hatch-like performance, with power of 340 PS and the ability to accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 6.1 seconds.
Meanwhile rapid charging capabilities at speeds of up to 200 kW DC means you can replenish the energy in the battery from 10-80% in just 26 minutes. As VW points out, the ID. Buzz is a vehicle that makes ‘sustainable mobility comfortable and practical.’
Entry-level models come generously equipped with heated seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, a large infotainment screen, tinted windows, and sliding doors on the left and right.
And when it comes to driver assistance and safety systems, the ID. Buzz is positively loaded. Lease customers can expect, as standard, adaptive cruise control, an automatic ‘Post-Collision’ braking system, autonomous emergency braking, and VW’s ‘Park Assist’ tech, which means the ID. Buzz will automatically steer into a space for you.
There’s another ID. Buzz you need to know about - the ID. Buzz Cargo, which is perfect business lease customers who need the versatility of a van that has a 3.9 m3 load space, which can swallow two fully-loaded euro pallets, yet which will also shave hundreds of pounds off your fuel bill.
