Select Car Leasing has triumphed at the Broker News Awards 2026, being named ‘Broker of the Year’ while winning two other major trophies.
The Broker News Awards are held annually and recognise the top-performing brokers and service providers in the UK leasing and fleet market.
The ‘Broker of the Year’ prize is described as the ‘crowning accolade’ of the entire awards - and it was won this year by Select.
Not satisfied with this one headline trophy, Select Car Leasing also took home the silverware in the ‘Best Volume Broker’ and ‘Editor’s Award’ categories.
Ralph Morton, Editor, Broker News, said: “This year the winner could only come from one category, such was the competition, the excellence of the entries and the brilliant scores achieved. In the end it came down to two market leading forces, Leasing Options and Select Car Leasing. Our Broker of the Year is Select Car Leasing.”

For the ‘Best Volume Broker’ category, the judges commented: “Select has developed a trusted brand and built a reputation within the market for consistency and evolution, which is key in this fast-moving sector. Its ambition to embrace new technology, ideas and ways of working is clear to see.”

Select Car Leasing - Editor's Award 2026
In February 2026, Select Car Leasing’s live fleet surpassed 100,000 vehicles for the first time, cementing its status as the UK’s largest leasing broker by sales volume.
Select delivered close to 35,000 vehicles to customers in 2025, with 40,000 planned for 2026.
The business was also ranked No.1 in the Broker News BN25 league table by volume, further underlining its market leadership.
These are milestone achievements for Select, a firm which began in 2004 with two people, a fax machine and a telephone.
Addressing Select’s Co-Founder and CEO Mark Tongue while announcing the ‘Editor’s Award’, Broker News’ Ralph Morton added: “The main award goes to someone who started his leasing life in a bedroom, and since that moment in 2004 has turned that original germ of an idea into an amazing powerhouse of the broking industry, recently announcing a live fleet of 100,000 vehicles, the first broker ever to do this.”
Select Car Leasing’s Mr Tongue said he was delighted to accept the trio of awards on behalf of the entire Select team.
He added: “To win not one but three awards - including the main prize for Broker of the Year - at this year’s Broker News is a fantastic achievement and highlights the incredible work from everyone here at Select Car Leasing.
“Select delivered more vehicles in 2025 than any other leasing broker while taking its live fleet to more than 100,000 vehicles for the first time in our history; a hugely significant moment for both us and the industry in general.
“That performance has been driven by an unwavering focus on customer service, as Select further cements itself as the most trusted leasing broker in the UK, with close to 50,000 reviews on Trustpilot and an overall 5-star score.
“We’ll continue to enhance that customer experience with a philosophy of continuous evolution as we look to 2026 and beyond.”
Besides the three award wins, Select Senior AR Account Manager Dee Edwards also came runner-up in the Women in Broking category.
