The brand new vehicles have been supplied free of charge by the Reading-based leasing company and will be used by Sue Ryder’s team at the Palliative Care Hub South Oxfordshire. Staff provide care to patients with life-limiting conditions in their own homes, as well as support for their families.
The Sue Ryder Hospice at Home service enables patients to receive compassionate, specialist care in the comfort of their own homes. Nurses visit patients to manage symptoms, relieve pain, and provide emotional reassurance at a time when stability and familiarity matter most.
Every day, Sue Ryder Nurses make numerous home visits across South Oxfordshire and West Berkshire, providing specialist care and comfort to patients in their own homes. With teams delivering nearly 59,000 face-to-face visits nationally (24-25), the new Nissan Jukes will help local staff travel more efficiently between patients, enabling them to reach those in need sooner and spend more time providing hands-on care where it matters most.

Dean Ridgeway, Head of Operations for Sue Ryder South East thanked SCL for the donation, saying:
“At Sue Ryder, we're committed to making a positive difference to our patients and their families. These vehicles from Select Car Leasing are absolutely vital in helping us deliver expert and compassionate care to hundreds of patients in South Oxfordshire each month, ensuring we are there when it matters because no one should face death alone. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing generous support."
This latest donation marks another milestone in Select Car Leasing’s partnership with Sue Ryder, which first began in 2014. Over the years, Select has provided multiple fleets to support the charity’s front-line work — starting with Skoda Octavias, then Audi A1s, and now this third generation of Nissan Jukes. The renewed vehicles bring enhanced efficiency and reliability, ensuring Sue Ryder’s team can continue to deliver essential services without interruption.

The new Nissan Jukes have been delivered with full servicing, road tax, and warranty included, ensuring worry-free operation for Sue Ryder’s staff. Each vehicle also carries Sue Ryder branding, helping to raise awareness of the charity’s work within local communities. At the same time, some unbranded vehicles remain in the fleet for more discreet visits, where privacy for patients and families is a priority.
Founded in 2004, Select Car Leasing is the UK’s leading independent vehicle leasing broker, managing a fleet of more than 65,000 cars and vans nationwide and employing over 300 staff. Through initiatives like its partnership with Sue Ryder, the company continues to demonstrate its belief in supporting organisations that make a tangible difference to people’s lives.
