Aion Auto UK is an electrified vehicle manufacturer that aims to offer affordable cars that don’t compromise on quality.
Aion is a joint venture between China’s Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC) and Jameel Motors, an independent international automotive distributor and mobility solutions provider.
It launched in the UK with two fully electric models; the Aion V SUV followed by the Aion UT hatchback.

While Aion is new to the UK, don’t think of it like a start-up brand.
It’s already one of the top selling electric brands in China and is backed by more than 20 years of GAC joint ventures in development and manufacturing with the likes of Honda and Toyota, helping it establish what it calls a ‘culture of absolute quality’.
And while Aion has its roots in China, a parts warehouse located in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, and a European parts hub in Rotterdam, Netherlands, means there’s already an established support infrastructure in place to give peace of mind to lease customers.
Aion Auto UK says it’s committed to doing things differently, launching with a ‘clean-sheet’ ethos with no legacy systems of process in place and with sustainable growth in its sights.
The business is being led by a UK senior management team with connections across the industry here in Britain.
