These are the best child-friendly car shows to enjoy this summer - and there’s an event for all sorts of enthusiasts.
With schools breaking up and annual leave having been booked, you might be pondering some days out with the kids.
Thankfully the summer months are crammed full of vehicular fun, no matter your age, and there are events taking place up and down the UK.

In fact, there are more motor shows coming up this summer than there are roundabouts in Milton Keynes!
Here we take a look at some of the dates to mark in your diaries.
British Motor Show 2026 (August 21-23)

One of Britain’s biggest family-focused motor shows brings you a thrilling mix of cars, live action, hands-on experiences, and ‘family fun from start to finish’, according to the organisers.
The British Motor Show is dubbed the ‘Greatest Show on Wheels’, and you can expect drift battles, a supercar showroom, and jaw-dropping stunts in the live arena.
Under 17’s go (free with a paying adult) and day tickets cost from £34.08p.
Where? Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, Farnborough, Hampshire.

FuelFest makes its UK return for the first time since 2019, making this one an event to savour.
From rare supercars and modified street builds to a live-voted ‘People's Choice’ paddock, there is plenty to keep your adrenaline pumping.
Top it all off with live music, professional drift passenger rides (available to guests aged 18+), and exclusive VIP lounge experiences.
Tickets start from £50.70, with children aged 12 and under admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Where? Manston Airport, Kent.
Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional (July 25)

If you prefer low-key classics rather than million-pound supercars, the Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional could be the car show for you.
It’s a celebration of so-called ‘mundane motors’ from across the globe and there are special car displays, rare prototypes, and great live entertainment.
Tickets cost £25 per person but kids under 15 go free.
Where? Grimsthorpe Castle, Lincolnshire

Now being held at historic Silverstone, CarFest is billed as the ‘UK's biggest family fundraising and motorsports festival’.
A whopping 10% of every ticket goes to UK children's charities, along with 100% of CarFest profits - making it a no-brainer to support.
There’s track action, stars from the stage and screen, and live music.
What’s more, there’s even a KidsFest section with interactive games and science experiments.
Children under the age of 6 can enter the event free of charge, and day tickets cost from £93 for an adult.
Where? Silverstone circuit, Northamptonshire.
Goodwood Revival (September 18-21)

Take a step back in time at Goodwood Revival, a unique event that combines world-class racing with vintage cars and fashion.
Dressing up in period clobber is encouraged but not compulsory.
And besides the car shows and historic track competitions, there’s also an outdoor cinema, vintage fairground, and craft activities for kids.
Children aged 12 and under go free (when accompanied by a paying adult). Young people aged 13–21 receive discounted tickets. Adult tickets cost from £84.
Where? Goodwood Motor Circuit, Chichester, West Sussex
