- Fully electric powertrain
- Playable in the Gran Turismo video game
This the astonishing, red-hot new Vauxhall Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo - and it’s capable of out-muscling most hypercars.
What you’re looking at is a fully-electric concept car that’s going on display at the IAA Mobility motor show in Munich, Germany, next month.
It’s packing a whopping 800hp, 800Nm of torque, and is blisteringly quick.
But while it’s unlikely to see the light of day as a production vehicle in its current form, Vauxhall says it ‘provides a glimpse of future GSE models’ - which gets us very excited indeed about a new Corsa hot hatchback.
We’ve not seen a proper performance Corsa since the 205hp VXR model (below) that bowed out of the range back in 2018.

With Vauxhall reinvigorating its sporty GSE variants - including with the recently unveiled, 280hp Mokka GSE - that could all be about to change.
Here’s everything we know so far.
What is the Vauxhall Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo?
The Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is a fully-electric concept car that was unleashed to coincide with the IAA Mobility 2025 motoring bash and which will also playable in Gran Turismo 7 video game - hence the name.
It sits on the ‘STLA Small’ electric platform conceived by Vauxhall’s parent company Stellantis and which will also be shared with the next-generation Peugeot E-208.
While the GSE Vision Gran Turismo has a similar footprint to the regular Corsa, it’s lower, wider, and much more aggressive.
There are aero skirts at the front and back, black aero wheelarch extensions, three-spoke alloys, and an active aero diffuser and active spoiler.
Speaking about the diffuser and spoiler in particular, Vauxhall tells us: “Both extend to reduce drag on the straights – useful on such a short wheelbase car – and the rear spoiler also raises up to act as an airbrake.”
The wheels are 21-inch at the front, 22-inch at the rear, and you also get Bilstein pushrod suspension.
How powerful is the Vauxhall Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo?
In a word, very.
Vauxhall says an 82 kWh battery and dual electric motors (one on each axle) combine to chuck out 800hp and 800Nm of torque.
Because the all-wheel drive Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo weighs just 1,170kg, it’s enough oomph to see it accelerate from 0-62mph in a scarcely-believably 2.0 seconds, which wipes the floor with Bugatti Bolide and matches the pace of the 1,800hp Bugatti Tourbillon hybrid.
The tricked-out Corsa has a top speed of 199mph. A boost function unlocks a further 80hp that’s available for 4 seconds.
What does the interior of the Vauxhall Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo look like?
The minimalist cabin gets Vauxhall’s new ‘Compass’ design and also features a sleek steering wheel and head-up display.
Six-point seatbelts signal proper track use, as does a roll cage.
Vauxhall adds: “The Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo draws on Vauxhall’s strong motorsport roots and combines this with the iconic Corsa nameplate while simultaneously giving an outlook on future generations of sporty GSE models. In short, it represents the epitome of Vauxhall’s highly dynamic GSE sub-brand and packages everything in an all-electric, high-performance small car.”
What’s the most powerful Vauxhall Corsa right now?
Can’t wait for the Corsa GSE to rear its head? The most powerful Vauxhall Corsa which you can currently lease is the 154hp Corsa Electric fitted with the larger 51 kWh battery. It’s capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in around 8.2 seconds.
The quickest petrol-powered Corsa enjoys 145hp and can sprint from 0-62mph in around 8.5 seconds.
