- New BMW iX3 revealed
- Fist car wearing BMW’s fresh ‘Neue Klasse’ design language
- Range of up to 500 miles between charges
- Would give it the best range of any EV currently on the market
- Priced from £58,755 and on sale early 2026

BMW has revealed its new iX3 - and it could blitz the driving range of all other EVs when it goes on sale next year.
The all-new iX3 looks to be a very important car for BMW.
Here’s everything you need to know.

What does BMW Neue Klasse mean?
A replacement for the original iX3 that launched in 2021, this rejuvenated model has been developed from scratch and is the first BMW to wear the firm’s new ‘Neue Klasse’ design language.
The Neue Klasse refers to a fresh family of EVs that will adopt minimalist new styling.

A sleek new vertically-arranged kidney grille pays homage to BMW styling from the 1960s while the interior is clutter-free and built with an abundance of recycled materials.
Yet it’s not just the way the iX3 looks that grabs the attention.

What’s the EV driving range of the BMW iX3?
The 50 xDrive variant will come packing a massive 108.7 kWh battery that’ll enable a range of up to 500 miles between charges.
As BMW rightly points out, those stats would make the iX3 ‘the longest-range battery electric vehicle on sale on the UK market today as measured under the WLTP test cycle’, putting it ahead of cars like the Mercedes-Benz EQS Saloon and Audi A6 e-tron.

Sophisticated 800-volt electric architecture enables a maximum charging rate of 400 kW - enough to add up to 231 miles of range in just ten minutes, while charging from 10 to 80 per cent takes just 21 minutes.
And the impressive stats just keep on coming.

How powerful is the BMW iX3?
Those dual-motor 50 xDrive variants will also come with power of 469 hp, 645 Nm of torque, and the ability to accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 4.9 seconds and then on to a top speed of 130 mph.

BMW iX3 - interior and cabin
Inside, the SUV debuts BMW Panoramic iDrive, a new digital interface projecting information across the windscreen and supported by the latest Operating System X.
Four powerful onboard computers - BMW’s so-called ‘superbrains’ - control driving dynamics, the level of automation, infotainment and comfort functions.

The ‘Heart of Joy’ module, dedicated to handling and power delivery, promises more precise, responsive driving while harvesting energy through regenerative braking.
Meanwhile BMW bosses say the Neue Klasse architecture will underpin 40 new models and model updates by 2027, making the iX3 a pivotal launch.

How much is the BMW iX3?
The new BMW iX3 will be priced from £58,755 when it goes on sale next year. Key rivals will include the Tesla Model Y, Audi Q6 e-tron and Porsche Macan Electric.
