- New Audi design language unveiled
- It’s bold - and sure to set tongues wagging
- Huge vertical grille and angular lines
- Audi Concept C is spiritual successor to the Audi TT
- All-electric two-seat sports car could debut by 2027

Say hello to the future of Audi - as the German firm unveils an eye-opening new design language as it teases a fresh electric roadster.
You’re looking at the Audi Concept C, a battery-powered, two-seat sports car that could fill the shoes of the now-discontinued Audi TT.

This reveal isn’t just about a new car - this is Audi showcasing a brand new style ‘philosophy’ and the Concept C ‘paves the way for the future’ of the manufacturer.
It’s not hard to compare Audi’s new style to that of the controversial Jaguar Type 00, with the Concept C’s blocky, angular lines and imposing front face.

The huge vertical grille ‘reimagines the brand’s legacy’ and is said to be reminiscent of Audi models from the past, including the Auto Union Type C (from 1936) and the third-generation Audi A6 (from 2004, pictured below).

Audi itself describes the Concept C’s body style as ‘monolithic’, and there’s an emphasis on minimalism that’s free from distractions, which is extended into the clutter-free cabin.
The folding roof of the Concept C is noteworthy, too.

It’s an electrically retractable hardtop (used on an Audi roadster for the first time), comprising two roof elements, which allow the vehicle to retain its coupe silhouette even with the top down.
The light shape is new, too, with four horizontally arranged elements in each headlight and rear light.

The interior is finished with anodized aluminium flourishes and also features a 10.4-inch display that can actually fold away into the dash for when you really don’t want to stay focused on the road.
An Audi spokesperson tells us: “The Audi Concept C marks the beginning of a new design philosophy and thus a defining moment for the four rings. It previews a future production model and will shape further models beyond that.”

While unconfirmed, the Audi Concept C is set to become a full production model by 2027 - and it’ll be largely unchanged from what you see here.
So, what do you reckon? Will the Concept C get the seal of approval from Audi aficionados?
