Three-seat Brit supercar with a £1m price tag

  • New Lanzante 95-59 revealed
  • British supercar priced from £1,020,000
  • Based on a McLaren
  • 850bhp and 880Nm of torque
  • Limited to 59 examples

British automotive specialist Lanzante has thrown the sheets off a new three-seat supercar to celebrate 30 years since its victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In case you’re not familiar, Lanzante is based in Petersfield, Hampshire, and creates ‘beautifully designed and crafted models for the most discerning car collectors and enthusiasts’, it boasts.

Lanzante has long been associated with McLaren - another icon of British engineering.

And back in 1995, McLaren roped-in Lanzante to spearhead its assault of Le Mans, ultimately bagging the silverware thanks to the McLaren F1 GTR.

Fast forward 30 years and Lanzante has now launched its own supercar - the 95-59 - which refers to the year Lanzante won big at Le Mans and also the race number of the winning car.

Under the surface of the 95-59 is a McLaren platform - most likely the McLaren 750S.

But the Lanzante 95-59 is a different beast entirely and considerably pricier than the £250,000 McLaren on which it is based.

It features a central driving position flanked by two integrated passenger seats, delivering what Lanzante calls ‘a pure driver experience’.

At its core lies a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing over 850 bhp and 880 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed SSG transmission.

With a target weight of just 1,250 kg, the 95-59 achieves a staggering 700 bhp per tonne when optioned with the lightweight ‘LM30 Pack’, which includes forged aluminium wheels, Inconel exhaust components, titanium fittings, and gold-plated heat shielding.

Lanzante hasn’t revealed the 95-59’s 0-62 mph acceleration speed just yet, but you can expect a time of around 2.5 seconds.

Designed by Paul Howse - whose past work includes the McLaren P1 - the 95-59 is sculpted with aerodynamics in mind.

The low-slung body is finished in Ueno Grey, a nod to the 1995 Le Mans-winning F1 GTR.

Key features include a floating active rear wing, organic aerodynamic surfaces, and a ballistic-style nose cone. The two-layered body channels airflow efficiently, while a central ‘bone line’ creates visual continuity from nose to tail.

The central seat is mounted on lightweight runners, with passenger seating molded directly into the carbon chassis. Dihedral doors allow easy access, while intuitive switchgear and digital displays ensure minimal distraction.

A bespoke map of Le Mans’ Circuit de la Sarthe on the headrest and chassis plaque further ties the project to its racing roots.

Only a limited number of 95-59 units will be built with a starting price of £1,020,000.
