- Kia EV3 wins main gong at UK Car of the Year Awards 2025

The judges have had their say - and the Kia EV3 is ‘UK Car of the Year 2025’.
The honour has been bestowed at the annual UK Car of the Year Awards, with the winners chosen by a team of motoring writers from various magazines, newspapers and websites.
Kia’s EV3 actually did a double - being named overall winner while also triumphing in the Small Crossover category.
It’s also back-to-back wins for Kia, with the Kia EV9 being handed the main silverware in 2024.
Gareth Herincx, who writes for Yahoo and Hello, said: “Distinctive, spacious, safe, competitively-priced and easy to drive, the Kia EV3 is one of the best all-round, family-friendly EVs on the market – and it comes with a seven-year warranty.”
Adding to that, EV expert Alex Grant noted: “The EV3 takes all of the best bits of the EV9 and distils them into a product targeting one of the UK’s biggest-volume segments. It’s futuristic to look at but intuitive to use, rides and handles UK roads brilliantly and offers a usefully long range of almost 400 miles. A very easy way for families to go electric.”

Our automotive writer Steve Fowler recently named the Kia EV3 the best car he’s driven in the last 12 months, and added: “It’s a brilliant all-round family car that will be a joy to live with. I’d have one in a heartbeat.”
