Moody new Aston Martin Vantage S revealed

  • New Aston Martin Vantage S arrives
  • More powerful, more taut version of regular Vantage
  • Gets new bonnet blades and more pronounced rear lip spoiler
  • Priced from £170,000.

Aston Martin has unveiled the Vantage S, a sharper, more powerful evolution of its acclaimed sports car.

The latest Aston Martin Vantage arrived last year with a 4.0 Twin-Turbo V8 engine chucking out 665 PS, 800 Nm of torque, and having the power to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds and then on to a top speed of 202 mph.

This new ‘S’ variant is even more brutal.

The ‘S’ uses the same 4.0-litre V8 as the regular Vantage but here the power goes up to a face-melting 680 PS while the 0-62 mph decreases a smidge to 3.4 seconds.

The top speed stays at 202 mph - which is more than enough for most.

There S boasts improvements to the throttle mapping, there’s recalibrated launch control, and Aston has also made enhancements across the chassis and powertrain systems.

Chassis tweaks include stiffer suspension components, updated adaptive dampers, and a re-engineered subframe mounted directly to the body, removing rubber bushings to improve steering feel.

Visually, the Vantage S makes a strong statement.

A new full-width rear spoiler boosts downforce by 44kg at top speed, while redesigned bonnet blades and a new front splitter improve airflow and cooling.

Subtle but deliberate design cues - like the handcrafted ‘S’ badge in red enamel and exclusive 21-inch Y-spoke wheels with red accents - catch the eye.

Inside, the Vantage S continues the ‘S’ motif with a sporty mix of Alcantara and leather, carbon fibre inlays, and embroidered logos that highlight the marque’s commitment to craftsmanship.

A standout feature is the anodised drive mode rotary control, available in red or silver, colour-matched with seatbelt and stitching details for a cohesive interior theme. For those craving more comfort, the Inspire Sport interior package offers semi-aniline leather finishes and dynamic quilting.

The Vantage S is available in both Coupe and Roadster forms, with first deliveries set for Q4 2025.

Expect to pay around £170,000 for the Vantage S - which is around £5,000 pricier than the regular Vantage.
