The do-it-all Skoda Superb just got even more tempting as a lease car, after the Czech firm announced a striking new SportLine trim level.
The versatile Superb is available as either a hatchback or estate and has won umpteen industry awards, including an Auto Express gong for ‘Estate Car of the Year’ in 2024.
The new SportLine grade is up for grabs across both the hatch and estate models. It sits just one rung down from the range-topping L&K trim (there’s no vRS Superb right now).
It gets ‘striking performance looks’, says Skoda, complete with aggressive exterior styling, 19-inch black alloys, and a chassis that sits 15mm lower than other models.
There’s gloss black detailing on the front grille surround, window frames and door mirrors, while the front and rear bumpers are unique to SportLine cars.
You can also expect progressive steering and ‘DCC dynamic chassis control’ as standard, the latter of which lets you adjust the damping characteristics. Enjoying some spirited driving? Whack it into ‘Sport’ mode.
There are performance seats in the front that feature an integrated headrest and which are both heating and massaging. You get a three-spoke leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel and aluminium pedal covers.
There are also no fewer than six different engine and transmission options with the SportLine trim.
Arguably the pick of the bunch is the plug-in hybrid ‘iV’ powertrain that combines a 1.5 TSI petrol engine with a 110kW electric motor and a six-speed DSG gearbox. You get decent power of 204 PS and a range of up to 79 miles using electricity alone.
If you want all-wheel drive, 4x4 variants can be found with either a 2.0-litre petrol or 2.0-litre diesel engine under the bonnet.
