Fan of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ but looking for something with more of a Formula 1 flavour? Then check out this new ‘Motorsport Collectors Edition’.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ is already a serious bit of kit, powered by a 4.0‑litre V8 biturbo engine developing 585 hp as standard while wearing an aggressive aero body kit.
But now the good people at Mercedes-AMG have upped the ante with this striking Motorsport Collectors Edition which adds design elements from the PETRONAS F1 Team and which is strictly limited to just 200 models.
Here the power has been upped to 612 hp while there’s a plethora of design additions.
What you see here is an obsidian black metallic paint scheme inspired by the F1 team's current racing car and adorned with a hand-painted silver star pattern and go-faster stripes.
Large 21‑inch AMG forged wheels enjoy a matte black finish and cross-spoke design and the Motorsport Collectors Edition also rides on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R Cup tyres as standard.
There’s an ‘AMG Exterior Carbon Fibre package’, which applies to the front splitter, trim strips in the side sills and diffuser and rear wing.
You also get a panoramic glass roof, black chrome details, and a silver AMG fuel filler cap.
Inside the cabin, the PETRONAS colour scheme continues, with uprated black Nappa leather seats and carbon elements on the heated steering wheel.
This is a car destined for track days, so it boasts the ‘AMG TRACK PACE’ pack that provides all the data you need for improving your lap times.
All customers also get an edition-specific AMG indoor car cover when the keys are handed over.
A Mercedes-AMG spokesperson says: “The Mercedes‑AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ as a “Motorsport Collectors Edition” is aimed at car enthusiasts and collectors who are looking for a particularly sporty driving experience and are Formula 1 fans.”
There’s no official word on price, but you can expect to pay north of the £180,905 fee that the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Launch Edition commands.
