The mega-anticipated Lotus Emeya has finally arrived, coming with a 379-mile range and £94,950 price tag.
The Emeya is Lotus’ new fully-electric, four-door ‘hyper GT’. The saloon will sit in the Lotus range alongside the battery-powered Eletre SUV.
We already knew the Emeya was going to be powerful, with range-topping ‘R’ models boasting 905 bhp and a sub 2.8-second 0-62mph acceleration time.
And Lotus has now revealed that the Emeya will also be capable of travelling up to 379 miles before you need to stop and plug it in.
It’ll also cost from £94,950 to purchase outright, with leasing prices to follow soon.
That eye-opening electric range puts the Emeya on a par with electric mile-munchers like the Polestar 3 SUV and some variants of the Porsche Taycan.
The Emeya also supports super-rapid 350kW DC fast charging, which can take the battery from 10-80% full in just 18 minutes.
Like any Lotus, the Emeya should be a proper driver’s car - coming with all-wheel drive, advanced active roll control, rear-wheel steering, and active aerodynamics.
Lotus also reckons it’s ‘one of the quickest electric cars in the world’, with the acceleration of the Emeya R coming close to the blistering pace of the Porsche Taycan Turbo S.
The Emeya gets up to five driving modes, including Range, Tour, Sport, Individual and Track. Lease customers will also be able to control the ride height, air suspension stiffness, acceleration response and seat configuration, depending on what you’re using it for.
And despite how potent it is, the Emeya should be everyday-useable, too.
It gets a generous 509-litre boot, decent amounts of room in the rear for passengers, power-assisted doors, and a panoramic roof that turns from clear to opaque at the touch of a button,
The cabin also features a 15.1-inch HD touchscreen and an infotainment that’s powered by Unreal Engine gaming tech.

First deliveries are expected in the third quarter of 2024.
Three Emeya models will be available to lease - the Emeya, the Emeya S, and the top rung Emeya R, the latter of which is priced from £129,950.
