- Tesla reinstates the 7-seat Model Y
- Had previously disappeared from line-up
- Available as option with Long Range AWD car
- 372-mile range
- Lease the 7-seat Tesla Model Y now with Select Car Leasing

Busy families rejoice - because Tesla has relaunched its 7-seat Model Y.
For a brief time back in 2024 you could get your mitts on a Tesla Model Y with a third row of seats.
That car was jettisoned from the line-up before the Model Y’s landmark ‘Juniper’ facelift of 2025 and has never returned… until now.
The Model Y with a seven seat interior is now back in the line-up - and available exclusively with the Premium Long Range All-Wheel Drive variant.
You can lease it now with Select Car Leasing.

How much extra is the 7-seat Tesla Model Y?
As we’ve mentioned above, the 7-seat option is only available with the Premium Long Range All-Wheel Drive Model Y.
Tick the ‘7-Seat’ box and you’ll pay £2,500 extra, bumping the price from £51,990 to £54,490.
For that extra dosh you get two additional seats in the third row that can fold flat for more storage.

You get boot space of 391 litres (measure to the roof) with all three rows in place but that swells to 894 litres when the rear-most seats aren’t in use.
Knock both the second and third row seats flat and you’ll unlock a gargantuan 2,138-litres of cargo space for prams, mountain bikes, and Ikea furniture.
There’s also a set of USB-C ports in the back, too.

What’s the range of the 7-seat Tesla Model Y?
Extra weight from the additional seats means the range shrinks from 391 (for the 5-seater) to a still-admirable 372 miles.
And because it’s the Long Range All-Wheel Drive Model Y, performance is brisk to say the least.
The first 0-60mph goes by in 4.6 seconds and it’ll accelerate on to 125 mph - which ain’t bad for a school run machine or family road trip vehicle.

What are the rivals to the Tesla Model Y 7-Seater?
Looking to lease an electric 7-seater? You’ve got a few options besides the Tesla Model Y 7-Seater.
They include the Peugeot E-5008, VW ID. Buzz, and the soon-to-arrive Skoda Peaq.
You might also want to stretch to the Kia EV9 or Hyundai Ioniq 9, though you should expect to pay more per month for those pricier alternatives.
