Farizon set to unveil mid-size V7E as second UK electric van

Chinese manufacturer Farizon is preparing to launch a new medium-sized electric van - the V7E.

It'll get its debut at this month’s Commercial Vehicle Show and will join the larger SV 'SuperVan' in the Farizon line-up.

Full details including pricing and availability is due to be announced at the NEC in Birmingham on 21 April.

What size is the Farizon V7E?

The V7E is expected to broaden Farizon’s appeal in the UK by targeting the heart of the medium van market.

While the SV is a larger proposition, the V7E is aimed more squarely at urban fleets, last-mile delivery operators and small businesses that need something compact enough for city work but still capable of carrying a serious load.

Farizon says the van has been developed specifically for the urban logistics sector and will sit on a dedicated electric platform designed to prioritise efficiency, manoeuvrability and ease of use.

What payload does the Farizon V7E have?

Technical details already released suggest the V7E will offer a payload of up to 1,300kg and around 7 cubic metres of load volume, putting it firmly in contention with established medium-sized vans.

A maximum load length of 3.26 metres should also make it a usable option for tradespeople and delivery firms that regularly carry bulky cargo but don’t necessarily need a full-sized van.

Farizon has also said the V7E will be offered with two battery options in the UK, although the brand has yet to confirm the final specifications. Earlier technical information released around the model pointed to a 51.4kWh LFP battery and a claimed range of up to 286 miles under the Chinese CLTC test cycle. In real-world UK terms, and once homologated to WLTP standards, the final official figure is likely to be closer to 225 miles, but Farizon is already claiming the V7E will travel further than similarly specified rivals.

Charging performance could also be one of the van’s stronger selling points. Farizon has previously indicated that the battery can charge from 30% to 80% in as little as 15 minutes under ideal conditions, which would make it one of the quickest charging options if the UK-spec figures remain close to that.

Beyond the hard numbers, Farizon is also leaning into design and equipment. The company says the V7E will feature distinctive styling, including LED ‘tomahawk’ headlights, and promises the same kind of convenience, safety and connectivity features already seen on the larger SV.

Farizon launched the SV in the UK last year and has been building its presence from its Park Royal base in London. Adding a smaller van beneath is the logical next step.
