- Updates for Kia PV5 Cargo
- New body styles; added heights and lengths
- New conversion partners approved
- More support for business users

Kia is expanding its PV5 Cargo electric van range, adding new body styles, confirming UK conversion partners, and introducing extra support for business customers.
The updates give the PV5 line-up a broader spread of options, as Kia looks to build on the van’s early UK launch and grow its presence in the electric commercial vehicle market.

New PV5 Cargo sizes
The headline additions are the PV5 Cargo L1/H1 and PV5 Cargo L2/H2, complementing the existing L2/H1 model. The smaller L1/H1 version is aimed at city-based businesses, with a body that’s 200mm shorter than the existing L2 model and offering 4.0m3 of load space. Payload is expected to be up to 800kg.
Buyers will be able to choose between 51.5kWh standard-range and 71.2kWh long-range battery options, with an estimated range of up to 248 miles. Orders are due to open in July, with first deliveries expected later in the year.
The taller L2/H2 version is aimed at businesses needing more cargo volume. It stretches the load space to 5.2m3, helped by a taller load area measuring 1,815mm high. Kia expects a range of more than 230 miles from the 71.2kWh battery, while payload is quoted at up to 630kg. UK deliveries are expected in early 2027.
You can also lease the Kia PV5 Cargo Crew.
A one-touch seat lever system allows operators to switch from a two-seat cargo configuration to a five-seat crew layout in seconds: a single lever switch releases the recliner, tips the cushion, and slides the partition. The mechanism requires neither tools nor downtime.

Approved conversion partners
Kia has also confirmed the first five companies in its new PBV Conversion Partner programme.
The initial partners are Würth UK, TGS Automotive Group, CoolKit, Modul-System and GM Coachworks, covering racking, security, refrigerated conversions, lightweight tipper bodies and wheelchair-accessible vehicle adaptations.
At the recent CV Show in Birmingham, Kia displayed several converted PV5 models, including a Würth-racked PV5 Cargo, a CoolKit refrigerated conversion and a lightweight tipper based on the PV5 Chassis.
Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK, said: “Businesses need electric vans that fit straight into their operations, supported by services that make running them simple and predictable.”

More support for business users
Kia is also expanding the support package around the PV5. New PBV service plans are being introduced, while the brand’s Business Service Promise will now apply to PBV customers. That includes a labour rate of £59 per hour plus VAT and 10% off parts.
The PV5 is also being added to Kia Rental, allowing businesses to hire or trial the van before committing to a purchase.
Charging support is being strengthened, too, with Ohme and Radius appointed as preferred charging partners for Kia’s PBV Centres. Ohme will support home charging, while Radius will focus on fleet and depot installations.
Kia says the aim is to make the switch to electric vans easier by linking vehicle supply, charging setup, servicing and conversion options more closely together.

Updates for 2026 PV5 models
New model-year PV5 Cargo vans are also due to receive updates, including standard driver’s lumbar support, a height-adjustable armrest, a new composite bulkhead, and a revised roof antenna that reduces overall vehicle height to 1,899mm.
A three-seat layout is also planned for the PV5 Cargo L2/H1.
