- Delivan - new commercial vehicle brand from the UK
- New Chery subdivision
- Mid-size electric panel van teased
- Delivan Micro-Cargo aimed at urban deliveries
- UK launch timelines still TBC

Chinese manufacturing behemoth Chery has launched Delivan, a new commercial vehicle brand aimed at the UK and European van markets.
The manufacturer’s debut at the CV Show in Birmingham was its first serious move into Europe’s light commercial vehicle sector, although the vehicles displayed were described as concepts rather than confirmed production models.

What vehicles will Delivan eventually launch in the UK?
The main exhibit was the Delivan ‘intelligent mobility show vehicle’, a mid-size electric van concept designed for urban logistics, last-mile delivery and fleet use.
While Chery has not confirmed final specifications, the concept gives a clear indication of the type of van Delivan could use to target rivals such as the Ford Transit Custom and Volkswagen Transporter.

Also on display were two smaller concepts. The tiny Delivan Micro-Cargo is aimed at dense city delivery work, while the Robot-Cargo concept explores autonomous delivery in controlled environments such as warehouses and urban logistics hubs.

Delivan - vehicles, charging, aftersales support, and ongoing management
Chery is positioning Delivan as more than just a new van badge. The company says the brand will be built around vehicles, charging, aftersales support, telematics, digital services, warranty and lifecycle management.
In practical terms, that suggests Chery wants to enter the market as a full commercial vehicle operation, rather than simply selling imported vans through a limited distributor arrangement.

The company has also outlined three strands for the range: Delivan Pro, Delivan X and Delivan I. These are intended to reflect different levels of service, customisation and connected technology, although they do not yet translate into specific models.
Delivan vehicles are being developed specifically for European operations, with the brand intending to combine global manufacturing scale with local development and support, including setting up a head office in Liverpool.

There are still many unanswered questions, including UK launch timing, pricing, dealer coverage, production specifications and after-sales arrangements. Even so, Delivan’s arrival at the CV Show shows that Chery is serious about entering the sector and adding another Chinese rival to an already fast-changing industry.
