Triple awards win for electric MG4 EV

Like night follows day, the MG4 EV has picked up yet another haul of ‘Car of the Year’ awards.


The electric hatchback has scooped more industry prizes than we can count, the most recent trophy coming in August when it was named ‘Best Electric Family Car’ at the annual What Car? Electric Car of the Year Awards.

Now the wallet-friendly hatch has claimed the top ‘Car of the Year’ accolade at The Car Expert Awards 2024, which aggregates reviews from 35 of the UK’s top automotive websites.

And the affordable run-about has also been handed two trophies at the Electrifying.com annual awards - for ‘Salary Sacrifice Car of the Year’ and ‘Money Saving Electric Car of the Year’.

The MG4 EV has now secured more than 30 award wins since its debut last year, including an impressive nine overall ‘Car of the Year’ titles.


It has also sold more than 20,000 units in 2023 to date, according to the latest stats from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), making it the second best selling EV in 2023, year to date, behind the Tesla Model Y.
