- New KGM Rexton Commercial unveiled
- Van variant of the regular KGM Rexton SUV
- 4x4 as standard
- Also gets a high and low transfer box

There’s a new option for drivers who need a vehicle that can tackle muddy tracks, carry some cargo, tow a heavy trailer, and still offer a bit of everyday comfort behind the wheel.
It’s called the KGM Rexton Commercial, and it’s here to take on the likes of the Land Rover Defender Hard Top, Toyota Land Cruiser Commercial, and Ineos Grenadier Commercial.

Built on the same platform as the Rexton SUV, the new commercial version keeps the commanding presence and interior tech but swaps out rear seats for a proper van-spec load bay. The result is a rugged car-based van that’s fit for business, with room for “several” Euro pallets, a 750kg payload, and a 3.5-tonne towing capacity.

KGM says the new model is designed to be a versatile “go-anywhere tool” for professionals. And with a fixed mesh bulkhead, reinforced rear windows, and GB type-approval for commercial use (meaning it qualifies for commercial vehicle Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) tax breaks, VAT recovery, and capital allowances), it’s clearly been built with the business user in mind. Yet it still comes with features you wouldn’t expect from a typical van, like ventilated leather seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, and a 360-degree parking camera on higher trims.
There are three versions available, starting with the K30. Despite being the entry-level model, it comes with heated and ventilated faux leather seats, 18-inch alloys, and a power tailgate. Stepping up to the K40 adds Nappa leather, cabin mood lighting, and extra safety kit, while the K50 tops the range with 20-inch alloys, a sunroof, and rear air-con.

Under the bonnet is a 2.2-litre diesel engine with 202hp and 441Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It’s quiet on the road, sticking with two-wheel drive under most circumstances. If you find some tougher terrain, a switchable four-wheel-drive system lets you pick from 4H and 4L modes to tackle what’s ahead of you. With its body-on-frame construction and 350mm wading depth, it’s ready for whatever the day throws at it.
Prices start at £34,995 plus VAT, and like all KGM commercial vehicles, the Rexton Commercial comes with a 5-year/100,000-mile warranty and 12 months of roadside assistance. Servicing is every 12 months or 10,000 miles.

The Rexton Commercial joins KGM’s existing Musso pick-up, and the all-electric O100 compact pick-up that is set to arrive by the end of the year.
