VW offers a number of different camper vans which cater for very different tastes. The Grand California is a high-end home-from-home while the mid-sized California offers a pop-up roof and sleeping space for four people.
The smaller Caddy California offers the ‘van life’ in a more compact package, with the flexible interior transforming to reveal a foldable bed that’ll sleep two adults.
Besides the obligatory bed, the VW Caddy California also comes as standard with a pull-out mini kitchen with a one-burner gas stove, storage drawers and folding tables.
There are two main variants to choose from with a VW Caddy California lease; the regular short wheelbase (SWB) model and the ‘Maxi’, which is longer and provides extra luggage space.
The Caddy California aims to provide comfort both when you’re travelling to your destination, and when you crawl into bed in the evening once you’re there.

And besides the pull-out kitchen with single-burner cooker and integrated gas bottle, there’s also clever and practical stowage compartments to stash your cutlery, as well as California camper chairs and a camper table.
There’s just one trim level with the VW Caddy California. All models come with a foldable bed for two, a pull-out kitchen with gas burner, interior blinds for the rear windows that double-up as storage bags, integrated LED reading lights, a 12-volt socket in load compartment, and driver assistance tech that includes Lane Assist, Cruise Control including Speed limiter, Front Assist, and towing protection.
