- New Citroen e-C3 Van revealed
- Van derived from Citroen e-C3 hatchback
- Fully electric with 200-mile max range
- Prices start from just £17,535

Citroen has launched its most accessible electric van.
With a starting price of just £17,535 before VAT, the Citroen e-C3 Van is aimed squarely at city delivery drivers and small business owners.
The e-C3 Van is based on Citroen’s new e-C3 hatchback, but swaps the back seats for a load bay, adding a solid bulkhead, mesh screen, and a load cover. The result is a compact, easy-to-drive van with up to 1,220 litres of storage space (or 730 litres with the load cover in place) and a flat load floor that’s 1.2 metres long by 1 metre wide. The payload is 300kg, which should suit light-duty delivery work or trades carrying a few tools and materials.
Despite its size, the e-C3 Van packs a decent electric punch. It shares the same battery pack as the car, a 44kWh unit, giving it a range of up to 200 miles — more than its closest rivals — and can be topped up from 20–80% in about 26 minutes using a public rapid charger.
Citroen has also equipped the e-C3 Van with a generous helping of features as standard, basing the van on the Plus trim level of the family hatchback. There’s a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Advanced Comfort seats, a head-up display, LED headlights, cruise control, and rear parking sensors. It rides on 17-inch steel wheels with wheel trims to keep costs down.

Where does it fit?
If you’re looking for something even cheaper, there’s the Dacia Spring Cargo, starting from around £15,000, with a similar 186-mile range and a higher 370kg payload, though it’s smaller and much more basic. If you need more space and capacity, the Ford E-Transit Courier offers up to 698kg payload and proper van proportions, but costs from around £27,000.

What does the Citroen e-C3 Van cost?
The Citroen e-C3 Van is available to order now, priced from £17,535 before VAT and on-the-road charges. It qualifies for the Plug-in Van Grant, which can knock £2,500 off the total price. There’s just one model to choose from, with a short options list covering paint colours, a faster AC charger, and a puncture repair kit.
It joins Citroen’s growing electric van lineup, and is now the third model with a sub-£30,000 price tag, alongside the Citroen e-Berlingo Van and the Citroen Ami fitted with the optional My Ami Cargo Kit.
