If you’re in the market for a sumptuous Audi e-tron GT, you’ll want to keep checking our lease deals next month - because it’s about to get cheaper.
From where we’re standing, Audi’s e-tron GT is one of the most aesthetically-pleasing cars on UK roads, even when compared to its Porsche Taycan sibling.
When Audi’s flagship electric sports car was updated in the summer of last year, the ‘S’ trim became the entry-level, which retails for around £107,825.

Now, however, Audi is preparing to launch a more affordable version - simply called ‘e-tron GT Quattro’ - which begins at £88,555. Order books open June 24.
This new base model might be more amenable to those on a budget, but it doesn’t lack power or pace.
Oomph of 584 PS (only marginally down on the 592 PS you get with the Audi S e-tron GT) allows you to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 4.0 seconds.

That’s actually quicker than the entry-level Porsche Taycan saloon, which costs similar money and gets to 62 mph from a standstill in 4.8 seconds.
You’ll also still enjoy a very decent range of up to 384 miles between charges, courtesy of a 105 kWh battery. Sophisticated 800 volt electric architecture supports rapid charging at up to 320 kW DC, which can put 177 miles in the tank in just 10 minutes.
The Audi e-tron GT Quattro will be available with two configurations - the standard ‘Quattro’ or the uprated ‘Quattro Vorsprung’.
Audi Press
All models get air suspension and intelligent all-wheel drive which channels torque to where you need it most.
Standard equipment includes 20-inch alloys, Matrix LED headlights, a panoramic glass roof, heated leather front sports seats, a 10.1-inch touchscreen with separate 12.3-inch digital cockpit, self-parking tech, and a heat pump to conserve your range.
The Quattro Vorsprung spec adds extras like black-metallic alloys, dynamic LED lights, all-wheel steering, and Nappa leather upholstery.

The Audi e-tron GT quattro also makes for a practical grand tourer, coming with a 405-litre luggage compartment and separate 77-litre front trunk.
Other rivals to the Audi e-tron GT include the Lotus Eletre and the BMW i5 M60 xDrive.
