Skoda has updated the sporty vRS versions of its electric Enyaq SUV and Enyaq Coupe, as they arrive with sharp new looks and improved driving dynamics.
In the world of Skoda, vRS stands for ‘Victory Rally Sport’ and it’s a badge slapped on the manufacturer’s performance models.
We’ve already been able to enjoy vRS versions of the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe - and the power for these facelifted models remains the same at 340 PS.

But what’s NEW is the way they look while Skoda has also worked to optimise the chassis for better handling in all situations, whether you’re tootling the shops or out for a blast.
Like the regular Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe (which was facelifted at the beginning of the year), the vRS variants gain Skoda’s ‘Tech-Deck Face’. The grille is slimmer and more taut than before while the traditional Skoda badge makes way for ‘SKODA’ lettering at the front of the bonnet instead.
LED Matrix lights and black metallic 20-inch alloy wheels come as standard while the aerodynamics have also been improved for a sleeker silhouette and a range of around 340 miles between charges.

There are two interior designs to choose from; the standard ‘Suite’ set-up and the swankier ‘Lounge’ offering.
The Suite gives you a leather/artificial leather upholstery combo with grey stitching with a carbon-look dash. The Lounge spec provides microsuede and artificial leather with lime green contrast stitching and a heated three-spoke sports steering wheel covered in perforated leather.
Whichever interior you choose, a 13-inch info infotainment screen and head-up display comes as standard while there’s also a 5-inch digital cockpit and 12-speaker CANTON sound system.

Both the Skoda Enyaq vRS and Enyaq Coupe vRS are underpinned by an 84 kWh battery and two electric motors (one on each axle) to enable a 0-62 mph sprint in 5.4 seconds. Along with the Skoda Elroq vRS, it makes the updated Enyaqs the fastest accelerating production models in the firm’s range.
Rapid charging at 185 kW DC can take the energy in the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in just 26 minutes. Using a 11 kW AC charger, a 0-100% charge takes roughly 8.5 hours.
A lowered sports chassis works with a progressive steering system while the optional DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) has a more dynamic damper set-up compared to the previous version and features 15 settings for damper stiffness.

Johannes Neft, Skoda Auto Board Member for Technical Development, says: “With the Enyaq vRS and Enyaq Coupe vRS, we have made the range toppers of the new Enyaq family even more dynamic, while maintaining their high level of comfort and everyday usability. We achieved this in large part thanks to the progressive steering system and, above all, the revised sport chassis with optimised damper settings. The optional DCC extends the performance range even further – from particularly sporty to very comfortable, depending on individual preferences. Apart from that, we further optimised the aerodynamics – for a lower consumption and therefore an increased maximum range.”
Order books open next month with prices beginning at £51,660 for the Enyaq vRS and £53,560 for the more svelte Enyaq Coupe vRS.

Rivals to the Enyaq vRS include all-wheel drive versions of the Kia EV6 and the obligatory Tesla Model Y.
