Alpine A390 Lease

Active Torque Vectoring is a system that actively manages power between wheels to improve cornering, grip and agility, making the A390 feel sporty even with its SUV form. It’s made possible by placing two independent motors on the rear axle (there’s another motor on the front for a tri-motor set-up), giving the A390 the ability to precisely control torque at each wheel. Alpine says the result is ‘exceptional agility, balance and responsiveness’, with the development team directly benchmarking its behaviour against the lighter Alpine A110 to ‘ensure a driving experience centred on feel rather than software’.

As an all-wheel drive SUV with active torque vectoring fitted as standard, the Alpine A390 offers thrilling performance. Base models develop 400 PS and can accelerate from 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds. The range-topping Alpine A390 GTS gets 470 PS and the ability to launch from 0-62mph in just 3.9 seconds. 

All versions of the Alpine A390 are equipped with an 89 kWh battery. Depending on which model you choose to lease, you’ll get a range of either 345 miles (GT and Premiere Edition models) between charges or 312 miles (with the GTS trim). Charging speeds fall short of some rivals, including the Porsche Macan Electric, and top out at 190 kW DC, resulting in a 15–80% charge in around 25 minutes.

Yes - the Alpine A390 should prove practical as an everyday driver. It has five seats and a decent boot that measures 532 litres (similar to what other mid-size premium EVs offer), but rear headroom and small item storage may be slightly tighter than some rivals.
