- Vauxhall Corsa GSE hot hatch announced
- Will sit alongside existing Vauxhall Mokka Electric GSE
- Corsa GSE will be fully electric
- Successor to old Nova GTE, Nova GSi, Corsa GSi, and Corsa VXR
- Full details still to be revealed

Vauxhall is preparing to launch a feisty new electric hot hatch - the Corsa GSE.
While full details of the pocket rocket are still to be revealed, Vauxhall says the high-performance version of its best-selling small car will follow in the footsteps of the iconic Nova GTE, Nova GSi, Corsa GSi, and Corsa VXR from years gone by.
The Corsa GSE will be fully electric and sit alongside the existing Mokka GSE Electric, which became available to lease towards the end of 2025.
Vauxhall says its most potent hatchback will be available to order later this year.

What do we know about the Vauxhall Corsa GSE?
We first got wind of a hot performance version of the Corsa in August 2025.
That was when Vauxhall revealed the extreme Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo concept, with the manufacturer adding that it provided an ‘outlook on future generations of sporty GSE models’ - forward-teasing to this week’s announcement.

The GSE Vision Gran Turismo is a bold car indeed - 800hp, 800Nm of torque, 0-62mph in a scant 2.0 seconds.
Don’t expect the incoming production Corsa GSE to be anywhere near as flighty.

As a reference point, the Vauxhall Mokka GSE crossover gets power of up to 280hp and 0-62mph sprint speed of 5.9 seconds, so we should expect similar performance figures for the Corsa GSE.
The Mokka GSE also gets goodies like a Torsen multi-plate limited-slip differential, a stiffer rear anti-roll bar, double hydraulic bump stop shock absorbers, Alcon 380mm front brakes, 20-inch alloys, and bucket seats clad in Alcantara, so we’d expect those features to be carried over to the Corsa GSE.

Will the Vauxhall Corsa GSE be the most powerful Corsa ever?
Yes - all indications are pointing to the electric Corsa GSE being the most powerful Corsa of all time.
Up until this point, the most powerful production Corsa was the Corsa VXR Nürburgring Edition that was launched in 2011.

A 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine produced around 205hp and the Nürburgring Edition could accelerate from 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds - modest by today’s standards. A mechanical limited-slip differential, however, made the Nürburgring Edition a bit of a track monster.
By contrast, the most powerful Corsa you can lease right now is the 154hp Corsa Electric fitted with a 51 kWh battery. It’s capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in around 8.2 seconds.
