Retro meets retro thanks to a new collaboration between 90s rapper Shaggy and Fiat to plug the reinvented Grande Panda.
Shaggy - aka musician and former United States Marine Corps soldier Orville Burrell - has re-recorded his classic 1995 hit Boombastic to celebrate its 30th anniversary (yes, we feel old as well).
Shaggy, a Fiat Grande Panda, and a loveable animated panda character take centre stage in a new music video and advert.

Fiat says the ‘Life is Pandastic’ promo celebrates the Grande Panda’s ‘unmistakable pop spirit’ while emphasising the new model’s main features: its roominess, its Italian design and its ‘smoothness’.
Olivier Francois, Fiat CEO and Stellantis Global CMO, commented: “Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the hit song 'Boombastic', Fiat felt it was the perfect time to revisit the classic and make it more appealing to Gen-X. The result is ‘Pandastic', an uplifting example of disruptive marketing and a meaningful association: a global hit for a global car, and an iconic soundtrack marking the return of the iconic shapes of an 80s classic. I want to personally thank Shaggy for his continued collaboration with our brand over the last years.”

Shaggy himself adds: "Just like the song, Fiat has a legacy of bold style and unforgettable impact. Together, we're marking this milestone with the same energy and creativity that made ‘Boombastic’ a global hit."
The Fiat Grande Panda hit the leasing market earlier this year as a complete replacement for the old Panda.
You can lease the Grande Panda with an electric powertrain and a range of up to 199 miles between charges, or it’s also available with a traditional 1.2-litre petrol engine aided by 48V mild-hybrid wizardry.
