- Jaecoo 7 gains Black Luxury trim
- Blacked out detailing across exterior and interior
- Full hybrid powertrain also joins line-up
- Black Luxury grade costs £36,500

A mean and moody new Jaecoo 7 has arrived in the UK thanks to a head-turning ‘Black Luxury’ trim.
In case you’re not familiar, the Chinese-manufactured Jaecoo 7 is the bona fide king of the leasing market right now.
It was our most-leased vehicle in 2025 and continues to dominate sales charts at the beginning of 2026.
And now this stylish, affordable SUV just got even more desirable.

What is the Black Luxury trim of the Jaecoo 7?
The Jaecoo 7 already has a decent amount of road presence, thanks to its Range Rover-esque silhouette and clean lines.
The Black Luxury model takes things to the next level.
As the name suggests, the theme here is ‘blacked out’. It’s only available as an add-on to the existing ‘Luxury’ trim and is also only up for grabs with the plug-in hybrid powertrain.

You get a black front grille, black logo suite across the vehicle, black mirrors, a black roof, and a black C-pillar badge.
The interior also features a black headliner and sun visors.
Black isn't the only paint scheme available with the Black Luxury trim - you can also opt for Granite White or Pearl Silver, both of which come with a black roof.

What’s the new full hybrid powertrain for the Jaecoo 7?
As well as the striking new Black Luxury trim, Jaecoo has also added a full hybrid powertrain to the mix, which sits alongside the traditional petrol mill and the frugal plug-in hybrid.
The full hybrid is called the SHS-H (‘Super Hybrid System-Hybrid’) and it offers both decent power and fuel economy.

It’s underpinned by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and small battery. Because it’s a self-charging full hybrid, it never needs to be plugged in.
Power of 224 PS translates to a 0-62mph acceleration time of 8.3 seconds and a top speed of 112 mph.
Jaecoo also quotes an extra-urban fuel economy of 53 mpg (WLTP) dropping to around 51.8 on the combined cycle.

Jaecoo 7 - new entry-level Pure trim
Besides the Black Luxury trim, there’s also a new entry-level ‘Pure’ grade.
Here you get tweed cloth upholstery, a 13.2-inch infotainment screen (which is a smaller display compared with models higher up the grade ladder), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a refrigerated centre-console, dual-zone climate control, and a 6-speaker sound system, plus front and rear parking sensors as standard.
Moving up to the Deluxe rung adds eco-leather upholstery, an upgraded sound system, a larger 14.8-inch infotainment screen, and heated front and outer rear seats.
