Citroen has been showing off a head-turning, gold chrome-wrapped version of its electric Ami!
The Ami isn't technically a 'car' - it's a two-seat quadricycle with a lowly top speed of around 30 mph.

This shiny new Ami puts a playful twist on the notion of a 'supercar' in the city, and the Ami has even been rubbing shoulders with Ferraris and Lamborghinis on some of the UK's poshest streets.
The unique Ami toured locations within London's supercar scene, including Knightsbridge, New Bond Street, Mayfair, and Park Lane, where the compact electric vehicle tried to outshine even the most luxurious cars present, with pedestrians eager to capture a photograph of the metallic microcar.
The Ami's introduction comes at a time when Ultra Low Emissions Zones, Clean Air Zones, and other emissions-reducing measures are becoming increasingly important. It symbolizes an accessible zero-emissions alternative, reflecting Citroen's 'progressive and bold approach to urban mobility'.
A series of nationwide #AmiOnTour events will allow the public to engage with the Ami in cities across the country, with opportunities to ‘pap’ the diminutive delight and see what it looks like on local roads. Seven Ami prize vehicles will be wrapped in bespoke designs by Jenni Sparks, depicting unique cityscapes and local landmarks – a separate design for each city on the tour.
Members of the public will also have the opportunity to participate in a competition to win one of the seven specially wrapped Amis by scanning a QR code at the Ami Hub in each location. The Ami will be visiting…
- Wednesday 30 August – Liverpool, Church Street
- Friday 1 September – Newcastle, Northumberland Street
- Monday 4 September – Edinburgh, Castle Street
