We got up close and personal with the Alfa Romeo Tonale SUV this week - so what do lease customers need to know about this stylish newcomer?
For us here at Select Car Leasing, the Tonale represents Alfa Romeo’s bid to muscle-in on a compact SUV market dominated by the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA.
It’s also the most affordable vehicle in the Alfa stable, coming with a 1.5 litre petrol mild-hybrid powertrain that’ll return a wallet-friendly 46 miles to the gallon.
To our eyes, the Tonale is exceptionally easy on the eye - as we’ve come to expect from the Italian firm.
And as David Bates - of Leasys and who was kind enough to bring the Tonale to Select Towers this week - explains, the SUV is also loaded with equipment as standard. That could be a major reason as to why you’d want to get behind the wheel of one.
He reveals:
“The Tonale is a big step forward for Alfa Romeo in terms of creature comforts. You can expect things like wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
“All of these things come equipped as standard whereas they’re likely to be optional extras with other premium brands."
“Size-wise, the Tonale is one of the largest cars in its sector. It’s not actually that much smaller than the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, which will make it a practical choice for busy families.
“It’s a very striking car - extremely pretty - which handles well. And because the engine is nice and revvy, the Tonale is also quick off the line. There’s plenty for lease customers to enjoy.”
