About the Kia EV4 Hatchback
The EV4 arrived on the leasing market in 2025, with Kia proudly boasting how it offered the longest driving range of any Kia EV produced to-date.
The EV4 sits on the same electric E-GMP platform as the smaller Kia EV3 and larger EV6, which gives it a range of up to 388 miles between charges for certain models.
It’s described as a C-segment car - ie, a compact family car that’s roughly the size of a Honda Civic.
In terms of its electric rivals, you’re looking at the likes of the Vauxhall Astra Electric, Peugeot E-308, VW ID.3 and Renault Megane E-Tech, as well as the all-conquering Tesla Model 3.

Every EV4 is powered by a single front-mounted electric motor applying 201 bhp and 283 Nm torque through the front wheels. The EV4 is capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in as little as 7.5 seconds, and then on to a top speed of 105 mph.
Sophisticated 400V technology allows a recharge from 10-to-80% in just 29 minutes (31 minutes for long range models) when plugged into a 350 kW DC ultra fast charger, and in just 5 hours and 20 minutes on an 11kW AC charger (7 hours and 15 minutes for models with the long range battery).
Which Kia EV4 Hatchback trim level should I lease?
Air
The entry-level Air trim brings you 17-inch alloy wheels, grey cloth upholstery and grey headlining, heated front seats, twin 12.3-inch screens, 5.3-inch touchscreen for the climate control, a Kia AI Assistant powered by ChatGPT, sat nav, parking sensors at the front and back, and a reversing camera.
GT-Line
Mid-range GT-Line models get a sportier exterior design, larger 19-inch alloys, automatic flush door handles, rear privacy glass, two-tone artificial leather upholstery, alloy pedals, customisable ambient lighting, and wireless mobile phone charger.
GT-Line S
Range-topping GT-Line S variants boast a tilting and sliding sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, heated outer rear seats, premium relaxation seats, a smart-power tailgate, vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability with adapter, a Harman Kardon premium sound system, head-up display, remote smart parking, and a 360-degree camera. A heat pump is an option at this grade.
