The Citroen Berlingo is the most-registered new small van of 2025 so far, according to the latest industry stats.
With 2,899 registrations up until April 2025, the Berlingo pips the Peugeot Partner into the No.1 slot, which lagged slightly behind with 2,643 registrations.
The Berlingo is Citroen’s most compact light commercial vehicle (LCV), sitting behind the larger Dispatch and Relay.

So, what’s so good about a Berlingo?
There are two body lengths to choose from - ‘M’ and ‘XL’ - with either 3.3 cubic metres of load space or 3.8 m3. You can expect a decent payload of up to 982 kg (with the shorter M Berlingo body length with a diesel engine).
You can also lease the Berlingo as a five-seat Crew van.
There are then three trim levels; Enterprise, Enterprise Plus, and Driver.
Entry-level Enterprise models get 16-inch steel wheels, a dock for your smartphone, twin sliding doors as standard on the XL variant, rear parking sensors, and cruise control.
The Enterprise Plus level unlocks goodies like a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, 10-inch digital cockpit, a folding passenger bench seat, and electric parking brake.
Meanwhile the range-topping Driver models boast a surround view camera, rain-sensitive wipers, an infotainment system with smartphone mirroring, and body-coloured rear bumpers.
Your regular Berlingo is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine with either 100 hp or 130 hp.
And then there’s the fully-electric Citroen e-Berlingo. The max payload here dips to 781 kg but you get a range of up to 213 miles between charges, thanks to a 52 kWh battery, and 100 kW DC rapid charging skills.
